Anyone picked/ing this up today? My ps3 version arrived yesterday from shopto.net, had a good bash at it on Medium last night, great fun! Liking the boss battles although they take a bit of getting used to. Beat Slash then decided to call it a night, really good fun so far!

Going to have to buy a pelican adapter to get 2 players going though, but can't find anyone in the UK that sells it, grr. Ah well!

Mine arrived yesterday too, but for the 360. Think i did about 11 songs or so on hard, took out the first boss which is pretty coo idea.

But this game seems quite abit harder then number 2... in the way of the controls, it seems you have to hit the notes alot more accurately. But tbh, its not all that different from the last, and maybe poorer song slection too. Prefered the songs more in GH2 then GH3, so far atleast.

got it for ps2 so wont be getting it for my 360 as it's a bit pricey. it's a fun game, nothing new though, the best part of guitar hero is going from crap to good and learning how to play well, so it's not _that_ exciting really, just new songs (aint too many good ones, got some classics though) .. on like 42/44 on expert just sailed through really, finished expert co-op. it's definatly a lot harder, but not in a fun way, the note combos feel really awkward for your hands :[

Got it today. Sodding Awesome :]

Am absolutely crap though.. partly owing to having a bad finger after I broke a bone in my hand 9 months ago, mostly because I'm a malcoordinated douche.

I have no idea how people can pull off some of those solos..

Practice time :D

Very tempted by Rock Band now as well.

Bleh, this game takes work doesn't it?

Never played the others so is all quite challenge :x

Would you recommend picking up the second if I like this?

What's the old controller like? And does it work with GH III and Rock Band?

GH1 > GH2 for track list and learning curve (i still prefer the songs in GH1 over 2, 80s & even 3 tbh)
Gh2 > GH1 for ease of play (hammer ons & pull offs are much easier)

All GH controllers will work with other GHs but the cross-compatibility for Rock back hasnt been fully announced yet afaik but some have and can be found here

You can only do hammer ons and pull offs when the notes on the note chart are shiny right?

Some are frigging hard.. massively require learning the songs, which am not sure I can really be arsed to do often =/

Only fer the ones I like.. not as many songs as I would have hoped.

Is there much DLC yet? I haven't got the net until a week's time y'see.. and how much is it going to cost me? =|

Guitar Hero I work on the 360? :S

Wakey Wakey thread.

I've become quite good at playing the guitar on the back of my head - the only sad thing about it, is that I've never learned to play it normally :(

Hehe.. ditto.

Oh, and now I have GH2, it turns out I prefer the songlist from GH3.. but the guitar from GH2 :x
