I've nearly made level 29 with my runemaster and still looking for a guild. Are they listed anywhere? I've tried asking different people in game about their guilds but seems a bit hit and miss. Looking for fun older player guild, ideally without that twitch gamer speak I dont understand!

Any ideas or pointers appreciated.

PS I know of Aesirs Blade but they are not recruiting at the moment.

A few resources for you:

1)
For a complete Midgard Guild listing:
http://camelot-europe.goa.com/en/home.php

Click
Chronicles, Excalibur, Hammer

You should now see a complete guild listing; if you click on a guild they often have a link to their Web site in the upper right.

2)
http://www.duskwave.com/daoc/guildrank.php?server=Excalibur&realm=Midgard

Click on the Guild to get more details.

3) My personal favourite guilds that come across more mature:
Blizzard (of course!)
Fellowship of Midgard http://www.fellowshipofmidgard.tk/
New World Order http://www.spegel.nu/nwo/?res=1024x768&cd=32&reload=false

I don’t know if any of these are recruiting, or are what you are looking for.

I would try and choose a guild that has plenty of “active” players around your level, it can be very lonely joining a guild that predominately consist of level 50’s

Thanks Xajorkith,

I looked on the daoc pages but obviously not hard enough!

I'll try again

Most guilds (I know ours is the case) view new memberships through recommendations from our fellow guildies and officers. We prefer to get to know someone in group, RvR or general chat first to see if they are the right material.

My suggestion, group up as much as poss, get to know ppl round the realm and make some friends. Taking the first guild offered to you isnt always the best thing.

Bad news is RM's only seem to be popular with PBT (guard) in groups, as their major damage and severe lack of armour tends to make them vanerable.

Best of luck anyway.

totally agree 100% there.. not only for the guild to get to know you.. its for you knowing if the guild is truly what you want, and at the end of the day guildhoppers get a rep for joining/quiting guilds often might not damaging to your application.

So talk to the guilds let them know youre interested and theyll (hopefully) take you along for a ride or two.. or talk to them if you get grpd witha player from the guild(s) your concidering.

And most important of all.. have fun ;)

(thanks for the recommendation xajorkith :))

Fellowship of Midgard are recruiting people but we have certain rules, since we are a scandinavian guild only, you need too speak either, Swedish, Norweigan(sp?) or Danish.

And a level requirement on 30. (If you don't have a IRL friend in our guild already)

If you fullfill these "demands" you are welcome to contact either Ardamel, Oxymoron or Dargir ingame. And they will tell you more about our guild and how we except you to act.

Please feel free to check our website.

Very good advice.
Make sure that the guild lives up to your demands ... we all have something we look for in guilds.
For instance, if you want to have guild groups at your levels (whether they be 20 - 30 or what not) - make sure that the guild offers these groups, there is nothing more dissapointing then feeling left out in a guild cause the guild maybe have a different focus then you thought.
Same goes for if you want a pure RvR guild and so on.

"Shop around" to put Whoodoo's advice in a popular tone.

It's not an English server, it is one of the two ENGLISH LANGUAGE servers.

There's a big difference between the two. Excalibur and Prydwen were not set up for players in England - that's the country which would make them English servers btw - but for people who speak the English language.

I'm English, ie I was born in England, (that country see above) and have never ever had any problem with either Fellowship of Midgard (damn fine guild) or with The Black Company, nor indeed with Bjokkeraiders or the other non-English (ie born in England) guilds which exist on Excalibur/Midgard.

So for about the billionth time, they are not English servers, they are English language servers for those people who do not speak either French or German.

Dont have a cow man! :m00:

Hes right tho, and were more freindly than the other servers hehe. It is good to have different cultures on Excal / Pryd, makes the game a lil more interesting.

As has been said also, FUN is the key, so make sure whoever you join they vary their routine :)
