Finally got logged on to PVP server last night around 22:00. I decided after playing the test that PVP was alot of fun and wanted to play it on the live server, but only if I got into a good guild. Going solo would be to frustrating IMO.

So I proceeded to check numbers in the various guilds etc. I asked at least 4 guilds if they where recruiting and all said no :/ Avalanche said they would be recruiting in a week or two but only players at lvl 30 or above!!!! (what a joke!)

From reading posts on this forum I kinda get the feeling this would be the attitude of some l33t German/French guilds, not sure what Avalanche are tbh.

I currently play on Midgard/Prydwen and am looking for a resonably sized guild to join for both myself and my brother. We both have good experience of the game, I myself having played 1 char to 50 and 4 or more to 30+. Im kinda flexible on which class to play and would appreciate any offers!!

I think most of the big guilds are probably following a similar strategy:

1. Start with a fixed level of membership (200-250 seems a commonly accepted starting point)

2. Spend the first 1-2 weeks on the server levelling and concentrating on those who are already in the guild.

3. Start recruiting classes which are required to balance the guild or to replace players who have decided that PvP isn't for them.

There are probably a few smaller guilds around that are actively recruiting, but if you want to get into a bigger guild you're probably just going to have to be patient and wait for them to start recruiting.

The problem then is that many of these guilds will already have a significant waiting list of people who either missed out on joining before the server went live or who have contacted the guild once it was formed in game.

200-250 seems reasonable.
I mean, you can invite people from all realms, not just one.
I've seen it commonly with guilds having over 50 members. Some even have 150 on one realm (on other servers).

I pity the fools who want to manage 200+ people in one guild with the archaic tools that are provided within the game... With better guild-interface, then it'd be more reasonable, as sometimes you can't use a web-page for every major decision...

Belth,

My guild "Kindred" are always recruiting and we managed to establish ourselves last night when we just had 7 members able to get on.

We are not a large uber guild but we plan on holding our own when we get established. And our main reason for being a guild is we have all been in-game friends since Beta with people joining and leaving when RL got in the way.

We where originally "Brotherhood of Dawn" on Prydwen/Midgard.

If you are interested contact any any member of the guild to get invited, just say Kazzam sent you.

This applies to anyone else who is interested, either contact me in game or any guild member ( /Kindred).
