Just want to say cheers to Guerra and Salonice (I believe that was you gear? ) the duo Vamps, for an awesome night of 1 on 1, 2 on 2 and mixed rvr tonight, probably the most fun I've had in a long while got alot of it on fraps, so I'll put the use-able bits in a video I plan to get sorted at some point

PS. did I not tell you I'd do ok against you guerra?

Pity about the archer adds though.

Ye salonice was a fun 1 on 1 with you with my cabby, and was very close That is ofcourse till Grimster spoiled the fun. After that I kinda got killed over and over by you and guerra chasing after me
After that I logged in my palli (Arterion) and joined with Dukat and Dravaneire. Got a nice 1 on 1 with Guerra then at the shore, but since my palli is a non ML non artifacted PvE toon i didnt have any RA's to burn when it got close (did have a heal bounty gem which I forgot to use ofc ). What RA's did you burn in that fight btw? With all those lifetaps and flashy effects I could hardly see if you burned IP or not, think you did use purge on my slam

Pain vs PM any numbers has gotten PM pretty much obliverated. (awaits Majii's big tounge in PM's ass reply). I mean you are ROFLCOPTERS in the stealth zerg scene.

Vamps can be tough, specially if they get the jump on you and you have a bad start, very difficult to pull back from but theres far far more overpowered classes to worry about then them to be honest and I don't just mean warlocks.

Incidently Renaris area is starting to show potential for finding good solo and duo fights lately, I do hope it keeps up.

Im sure PoC being nearby is just a coincidence

Well, tell you what. Vamps can be a pain in the ass really, specially for casters. So mr. wizzy/sorc that was used to kill everything, is having a hard time now. Claw>Soi and intercepting pets. The more brittles, the better for us as they cap power return, hence i can claw that caster down in 5 secs.

However, vamps have proven (at least to me) to be some kind of indirect love towards alb/mid heavy tanks who can practically tear us apart with great ease.

Regarding poc. I have been there loads of times. Sometimes I camp the entrance, sometimes I charge people xp-ing there. Most of the times they either: 1) Have the time to buff up (there is a 30 sec immunity window), 2) are already buffed up (I kill the cleric/shaman first , not that difficult to spot with a fop between their legs really

Renaris/Boldiam area is my favourite, so if you see any deathspam by Salonice, come out, I'll be around there. Well, I might be with Guerra, so do bring some friends along, will be much appreciated.

One final note: I'm VE spec, figure it out

Vamps are pretty nasty 1v1 vs melee (and if specced for it, they're nasty 1v1 vs casters - however can't really do both).

50% fumble debuff and end tap let me kill several buffed rr8 mercs ar rr2-3.

That's something I wasn't able to do reliably on my VW till rr5-6 (and even then I get wtf pwned at times).

In 8v8 vampiirs don't seem particularly OPd, there's some nice utility (can chain interrupt a caster while attacking a BGer) - although I rekon BMs hit harder more consistantly, and are easier to play (I've got like 20 timered abilities Oo). The upcoming DET changes will mean no groups for hybrids or vampiirs so I doubt they'll ever be a big factor beyond solo.

Why don't you use the WS buff? Sure it's on the same timer as evade (QQ) but it does help a lot vs classes with high defences.

Against a shield tanks vamps struggle a bit I think, had some nice 1 on 1's against well equiped vamps on my paladin (he's rr4), but I flatten lower rr vamps on that char.

It used to be the 1st buff I was putting up, it still is in a group situattion, however without support I found out that the evade buff works wonders.
