gustav, ppl who have played a solo char above rr6 or so usally starts wanting to try their character/skills vs other players, in 'fair' 1vs1 fights.
TheBinarySurfer said:Off topic - Dopi how did you purge twice within 5 minutes today at n'ged 4 - that was the reason i mezzed you the first time with wordlbuffer to make you burn purges and RAs rather than kill you...Then less than 5 mins later you purge again (first purge was not a GP as they went off at different times)...
Very definite on the timings etc as i was making sure i had full mezz duration before even the fastest purge came back up?
Unless there was another char about with group purge i never saw?
And good fight today luon sorry really shoulda not sat there wondering why i was hitting for bugger all and gone DOH res sick :/
Gustav said:and just one last thing....this thing ppl are complaining about. Adding? I'm always confused as hell. Do we stand by, let you bash our realm mate into the ground and let you run off afterwards because its not our fight? We wait our turn in an orderly queue to attack each other? Let the fight finish and then as the winner walks away at 10% health we leech the entire rps from our dead brother or sister with one shot or swing or cast?
In many cases its not safe to stand by and watch the fight because you are gonna be next and some classes need more than 1 person to take them down. So do we run away and watch from a safe distance? Ignore it and hope it goes away? (which btw never works with electricty and council tax bills, believe me I know)
wtf is the general rule of thumb? Pls this is a genuine question.
If I want to solo I need to reroll :<xxManiacxx said:If I want to group I login my skald,sm,bd,healer, shaman
If I want to solo and relax, go afk now and then I play my SB or hunter

Hrymf said:I can understand your confusion, obviously people have different ways of playing this game, and i for one belive/like that there is 2 parts of rvr, there is stealther rvr, and regular rvr.
For me Stealth rvr is when i log on my nightshade and go out into frontiers to find fights vs similar enemies, it can be any enemy, but the main factor for me is that its a solo enemy i find or a solo enemy find me, that way we can have a fight 1v1. Often duos happen also, i duo now and then, and enemies duo, which i think is all fair as well, that way it ends up in 2v2 or 1v2. Now all this i mainly expect from stealthers, i really dont belive a stealther should be grped with more than one other person, and i highly disagree on stealthers grouping with full groups just to gain the advantage of popping enemy stealthers for that full group. I know this is not something that is coded into the game, but i do know im not the only one to like 1v1 fights and such, and i sure do wish there was duelling arenas in daoc, but there is not.
My point is, perhaps you like to group and like to pop for larger zergs, but for me all that seem very pathetic and i will share my opinion about it when ever i can. I cant be all hard to understand that there is some fun in actually killing an enemi alone by having a great fight, or by just running about with a single friend having great fights as well, i seriously see no need for people with your amount of realm points and ingame experiense, to outnumber enemies in such insane numbers as you are doing..........
I dont expect all to understand this, but that is how i see the stealth rvr.. As for normal regular rvr, i try not to interfer in that unless its keep takes or the like, groups fighting another group i leave alone.
