Pbaoer does carry more dmg than us voideys however we are better at solo

What amadon mentions lo bout the energy debuff and pbaoers is so true

Without a decent voidey a fins group would take far longer per pull, with my debuff lv 40 somethink a pbaoer can pull off 1000+ on mobs which is luuvvveeelly

Void also puts out a lot more than people credit it for, once u get to lvl 50 if you spec 46 void 28 light and the rest mana you will be quite a formidable foe out in Rvr

Mainly due to the fact we cant GTAOE which works well for pickin stealthers or whackign walls during seiges. Also our bolts are good for takin out archers and fellow casters and a good use of the nearsight spell will make u win more often than not

plus the fact our spec is kinda dark and mysterious hee hee whereas mana is a bit girly

However dont moan to load or they gimp pbaoer and after all its all for the good of Hib not for ourselves

EDIT: BTW from what ive saw of light chars they suck major and i have yet to see them good but heay prove me wrong guys

Don't kill off the mana chanters or elds, just buff up the other mages...

Void is sooo gimped at the moment, make the bolts hit ANYTIME, no blocked in combat, it's still on a 20 sec recast timer you morons (mythic).

Furthermore, void mages need a dd of void spec, in the same line, not the baseline, make it cast time of 2 secs, with same damage as other similar lines, and not cold based dmg, make this one energy.

Third, give elds speed boost, I'm sick of running slower than a turtle whenever I feel like moving outside.

Think that was the main fixes needed..

I feel your pain but, 2 sec casting time are you crazy? if you read my tests that will make you cast a spell every 1.22 sec fully buffed + mota2, wich is not hard to get. Anyways you would be most dangerous mage in game, 209 dd + 2 sec casting time = machine gun.

If you are a voidie and feel like mythic will fix the bolts someday, well you are wrong, they said it many times that bolts are working as intended and they are meant to be for PvE.

Elds are pretty much a balanced class in groups (Just like mythic wants it) dont expect to see much changes in the future. But lets hope im wrong

Void is fun. I wouldnt change my spec, though I have given it serious thought considering its percieved weaknesses.

I accept that my dd is weaker, and that void is not the strongest player on an open field. Stick me on the other side of a wall or on top of it and I rule

I disagre with Tyka that bolts are just for pve. Bolts have their share of problems, but when you are used to the conditions for them landing they are good. I think almost all classes can one shot a mage, but only a ranger beats voids range. A nearsighted mage can purge or run away for a minute etc... Bolts reach where other spells dont and thats their strength.

Bolts do get unnerfed to some extent Tyka Bolts get blocked when your attacker is in combat. In combat is caused by a variety of things, (like a healer waving his arms half a mile away etc). Some of these got fixed last patch. More are listed under future patches.

What we really need (and has been discussed serveral times by Eld Team leaders ) is a spec dd with cold debuff

and no, im not gonna flame mana dudes, they debuff for me and I debuff for them. Mana = short range, Void = long range. We compliment each other well.

Spellcrafting may be interesting... mages that rely on shorter range will find life harder with the enemy tanks having higher resists. Mages that spec in cold atm will find less of a change come SC as almost everyone has capped cold already.

ps. i meant look away now coz your gana see alot of flame! if you looked away at the start of my post 99% of hibernia wouldn't have read the post as they all have played a pbaoe

anyway - all i have to say about that is ... yes we do compliment each other if we use debuffs but on the other hand if you have a pbaoe in the group your gana have a hard time seeing any team leader inviting a void eld so really there will be no debuffing and also someone said ... we are playing for the realm not ourselves (think it was obliv) =/ if it was for the good of the realm imo i think ppl would invite void elds more coz a good balance in rvr is what gets the kills. its becomming much to predictable to know when someone with a staff comes near you they are gana use pbaoe! it does do more dmg and cast time is ALOT faster but fun factor i still rate void alot higher! main problem IMO is that void cast time is not fast enough especially on the AOE spells. make void cast time on the DD atleast 1second faster and decrease the mana it costs by a little and void eld would be back in business(Sp?) sorry still cant find the spell check

LOL, duel my light ment and ur soooo dead. IMO light it the most fun/best spec for all mage classes....ok mana do more damage, but it's fucking boring to play (admit it you boombing fools ) and in RvR unless you got very good group it's a suicide char and you will most certen die in eatch battle.

As for light (45 light spec), that dd hurt like shit crap....with high wp and mom and a heat debuffer you will fall of the chair when you insta kill a lvl 50 armsmaster from >>1500<< range!

Light ment allso got uber ae damage at 44 light with same range as the dd....elds got nearsight, ae mez and some other goodies in light and chanter with light is allso uber with companion pet you are a team with 2 great nukers and speed (the fecking pet snare too )

As for void....cough....gimped....cough

Your casting time is still around ~2 secs.
Try casting a dd with 209 base dmg every 1.22 sec from 1500 range and you will know what i mean (you wont even see the spell gfx).

And as for duels, light elds are gimped, but let's see how many of you win a duel against me
