A bit off-topic, but has Draw Out got High To-Hit Bonus now?

Edit: Well nevermind, lazyboy himself over here actually checked it out on Catacombs ^^

+hit and GR are different things.

and due to high +hit drawout is swordsman's choice vs highlvl mobs - much less chance to miss.

May be a stupid question really, but what does this mean? growth rate = damage or something?

omg, and people say about albs...

Btw, growth rate is how much damage increases when you use style comparing with the unstyled damage.
e.g. You perform XSTYLE perfectly (+XXX)

that +XXX is calculated base damage X growth rate

PS: Well, I might have lost some details but seems pretty ok to me atm :D

GR is a constant for style, which determines how powerful the style is.

i know that hth styles are hard-hitting too - but i wouldnt take numbers u posted as granted...unless u or me calculated it myself. after seeing 4(!) various LA GR charts i do not beleive them.

Oh, that is interesting for me then :) cuz im standing here with a full respec stone in my hand for my SB, and actually I was thinking about going 44sword, 44CS critblade.

Seems that CS styles are > than sword, axe and LA styles no?

Well, just think it looks a bit odd that hamstring has lower GR than leaper, cuz most often when I play my ns, my hamstring does more damage. Maybe it's just my experience that's weird:-P

I know a certain RR8 warrior who says that draw out does more damage than polar rift :fluffle:

Basicaly... GR shows how much damage bonus a style will give.

When you use a style, and get a message like this:

You perform <your style> perfectly (+100)
You attack <your target> for 300 damage

This shows, that you hit your target for a total of 300 damage, 100 of which was from the style, the other 200 from the base weapon damage.
The style multiplier (base damage X style multiplier = style bonus, style bonus + base damage = total damage) for this style is 50% (100/200).
If you didnt change you set up at all, and attacked something with a higher AF, you might get a message like this:

You perform <your style> perfectly (+50)
You attack <your target> for 150 damage

Your total damage and style damage have gone down, but they have kept the same ratio.

Your style multiplier for a style can be worked out with this formula:

((Weapon spec x Growth rate x effective weapon speed)/(DPS x SPD x 3 x (1+((SPD-2)x0.3)))

where:
Weapon spec = total weapon spec (including bonus from items and realm rank)
Growth rate = growth rate of the style
Effective weapon speed = the speed you swing your weapon at, including haste, qui bonus, and toa item haste etc
DPS = the delve DPS of your weapon, including DPS cap for your level BUT ignoring any penalty from low condition or quality)
SPD = weapon's delve SPD

style mulitplier is a much easier number to picture than style growth rate, tbh ;)

Or to put it just in plain english:growth rate is the rate at wich a style gets beter if you spec higher in the line

or even plainer  someone with exactly the same stats ,using the same weapons and who has 50 sword (for example).
Wil do more damage using the same style then a person who specs 39 sword

I don't see it that way, northern lights doesn't outdamage draw out sadly.

in rvr or in testing?

simple way to determine which style is "stronger" - check caps.

NL cap > DO cap.

Ah sorry said wrong style, I meant I noticed I'm doing more dmg with draw out than Polar rift. Tested it a bit in rvr and pve but nothing too serious.
