Grouping situation

Seems like an obvious question, but couldn't find a thread about it

What is the status of grouping in AoC, i.e. ranging from grouping being absolutely essential to make progress on one extreme and it being a complete waste of time and you might as well solo on the other extreme.

How does/does it change between low and high levels ? Also, are the current players actually forming groups ? Though, I guess EA players would tend to be more likely to group (if needed) compared to completely new players.

Well, some quests need groups some don't

Theres fine xp solo but there are some dungeons that need groups, a good mix so far for me.

My experience in this type of game is non existant though.

Pretty in the middle atm. All in all most of the Exp comes from questing and it's a fact that questing in a group goes much faster and more social. But it's not essential. If you want to see all the sights you have to group though.

The quests that are designated for groups (with an icon) you need a group to go with at the assigned level. (ymir quests, sanctum of burning souls... )
