Group XP & Heal

I've got a few newbie questions, perhaps someone can put them to rest....

How is XP is calculated in a group? Is it shared, or will everyone get the xp regardless of how many people are in the group as long as they are similar levels. And what impact does a large level difference have?

How much power do the cleric rezzes use? The power usage is listed as "~" and nothing in the in game info, but it doesnt seem to use all power. Do the ones that rez with some HP use more power?

And finally, the insta-heals - I was under the impression that the first one you get would heal 33% of your health like it says in the spell list but it seems to do more sometimes. Any ideas?

Thanks to anyone that can answer these questions :)

The instaheals heal a certain % of damage based on your charcters HP; hence if it's stated as 33%, and your HP is 300, it will heal for 100, regardless on who you use them (hence casters seem to gain much more HP than tanks using instas).

Rezzing uses a % of your power based on your level vs the one your trying to rez, and on which rez spell is used. The high rejuv spec rezzes are better, and use less power; at least I can lose over half my power rezzing a fellow 50, but a rejuv spec doesn't :)
As rezzing uses a % of your power, unless the cleric in question is specced in rejuv, it's always better to let a paladin rez; same crap rez, and DT will be reduced (This is inherently sad; unless your twisting chants as a paladin, more piety will actually mean more time to recover power after rezzing, hence more piety = bad for a paladin :p).

XP in grps depend on 1) how many you are, 2) what levels you are and 3) what level the mob(s) is/are (con to highest level in group). The number issue is simple, XP is split. The reason you normally want to have a group within a similar level range is due to how the XP cap works in DAoC; if you include a high lv player in the group, he might con the mobs you are fighting ornage or yellow, or even blue. This will destroy XP for the whole group, as everyone will be reduced to getting XP as if you were killing blues to you, even if the mobs con purple to you. Low lv players don't actually destroy XP this way, but they suck away XP from the others, and can't normally contribute to the group. Also they don't profit from the full XP, due to said XP cap.

Great thanks, I think that answers everything in one go!

But I'm a bit surprised about that insta-heal. That means its little or no use to use on yourself in an emergency, because say you only have 25 hit points left and use it on yourself so that you can run away, it'll only heal 33% of that 25 which is nothing.
