Group Purge

anyone else getting really pissed off with this RA?

just met 1 fg LA while i was in a random group of albs, i see LA approaching on the horizon and sure enough i get a mezz in -

oh wait no!

suddenly 2 enchanter pets and a grey con twig are attacking me i get slammed straight away, my group gets an insta mezz for their trouble...

even when albs get the jump on the hibs the sorc dies

sometimes albs can survive GP but IMO its too good at the moment

a nice fix for it would be for it to wipe the targets of everyone in your group when it is used so they actually have to reacces the situation and look for the sorc

Yep GP sure is annoying for a sorc, especially vs pbae type groups that are awake and have the sorc targetted ready, and because all the pets become immune to mezz and immediately charge the sorc.
However I think its balanced as like jiggs says it is 30 min timer, and doesn't always win the fight.

also, GP doesnt clear immunity.

GP has been around for some time, sure, sometimes we loose cause of it, but hey, not like we havnt got our own RA´s that makes us win fights.

edit: stop fucking whining, all it takes for you is to press the sos button when you see they start moving after they are mezzed.

GP is overrated.
It sucks imo and like Tzee said: GP doesnt clear immunity.
So its kinda useless if sorc or other CC class pays attention.

anyway, GP+BAoD is a very good combination.

i ran into it a few times when playing sorcerer and thats a real pain in the ass, nothing u can do except run around for 30seconds

I dont mind GP, its hibbies whining about what other realms have (especially midgard) when they do have access to great stuff like this themselves that is annoying.

The changes we use AND gp AND baod in 1 fight is usually vs 2fg or maybe more.
I rest my case when i say this situation happens like 1 out of 25 fights

it was supposedly fixed in 1.52

anyone care to test it? I know I don't get instantly remezzed when I single purge... so I'm somewhat dubious of the people saying you can be after you group purge.

GP does give immunity, dunno why people still think it doesn't. Could have something to do with spell-effects, since midgrad insta-aoe-stun has a zzzz-gfx, so if a druid GPs that and then gets mezzed on top of that, with another zzzz-gfx, you might get to think you have been remezzed, when you have just been properly stunned and mezzed afterwards.
