Anyone else watch GTO? I know theres some anime fans out there :X


For those who dont know it ( foolish heathens ), its about a delinquent who decides to become a teacher, he's a bit thick but he's a good teacher in life.

Oh yeah his students are complete ****s to him, putting up poster sized faked pics of him in S&M clubs, getting schoolgirls in dodgy situations and taking pics, etc. etc. Its fucking quality :-]

So what's the difference between anime and manga?. I just thought Anime was a term for that particular genre i.e. animated.

manga is the name for japanese comic books, anime is the animated series.

The manga is usually the original work that gets made into anime.

Quite often the anime takes liberties so minor plot details/characters get altered etc.

And of course the anime could be complete crap.

Bit like hollywood films only the japs get it right more often :-]

I finally managed to obtain the complete 3x3 eyes series today.

Think I'll sit down and watch it tomorrow. I always had the first two episodes on video, but could never get hold of the other ones.

I'll have a look into this teacher one.

well the anime was compleated before the manga was finished and the creator didnt want the ending of the manga to be known.

as for the live action its very budget but they make it work.

I had all of 3x3 eyes on tape from the BBC when it was on years ago, i took the tab off the tape so it couldnt be recorded over and wrote DO NOT RECORD OVER!!!!!! in huge letters.

My sister sellotaped over the tab and recorded some crap and claimed she didnt realise even though we have a huge stack of blanks and she'd gone to some effort to tape it!!!!!




Still a bone of contention even to this day :/
