just downloaded the demo today. i was never a fan of ghost recon, rainbow six and games of that genre but something about this is quite fantastic.
from looking on play-asia it may not be region free and i dont fancy paying 50 quid for it.

so im wondering, does anyone know if its much different to graw 1?
im pretty sure thats going cheap these days, and if there isnt much difference it seems more sensible to get the first one :)

Tighter control system than GRAW, improved graphics and smoke plus a more diverse selection of missions and multiplayer modes apparently. GRAW is about to go on the classic range so you will be able to grab it for £20 in a few weeks, well worth it. Oh and the original GRAW is region free, I bought mine from play-asia 10 months ago for £22! If you wait you mmight be able to get it on classic from there it might only end up costing you a tenner! :D

GRAW 1 is a fantastic game, definitely should not be missed out on. The only gripes I had with it were the fact that the campaign is a little on the short side and the multiplayer graphics are nowhere near as good as the SP graphics. Other than that, great game.

I finished GRAW but I didnt like the AI. As soon as you fire a single shot all the enemy know exactly where you are even in pitch black! I hope the AI is better in GRAW 2.

Muzzle flash is a dead giveaway at night, that said though the AI could hear your shots and pinpoint you in seconds, that is something the really need to have worked on as it was one of the few flaws in a great game.

So true, reminds me of Farcry which was great up until the 100th time you die when you snipe someone from a far distance then 2 seconds later everyone in the mission starts firing at you.

Very good game so far everything seems to be improved on what was wrong with the game first time round.

I forgot how good GRAW explosions are.

Scary that you know this.

What games would these be?

In about 2 weeks i will be off work for a few months so i have been back stocking games ready for then, can't wait gonna bust em all wide open!

I also see you are a Prov Evo addict now. I have never played a console game as much as i have that, my fav game atm although it sucks when you have a bad night and just can't find the back of the net.

Worms would be a good start.

Also, try out TH:p8 :)

EDIT: Aye, im playing pro evo alot atm. I couldn't get myself to buy it last year, because of all the bugs :/ and I honestly enjoyed PES5 more. Going back now doesn't feel right though, so im going to stick with it.

The new cross com is just fantastic it allows for much more tactical gameplay and being able to see what anyone else sees with a click of a button is plain awsome.

I pretty much just finished mission 1 using only my Ghosts when they were with me.

The AI of both Ghosts and enemy is pretty good now with the enemy constantly trying to flank you or playing a defensive mode and making you come to them.

And oh man oh man giving a order for an airstrike and hearing the jet come screaming over head and watching it drop the bombs is awsome.

Kinda reminded me of the OMFG moment when you blew the petrol tanker in GRAW and the back draft blew sign posts away and stuff.

Better in every way possible, co-op is like GRAW-seperate from single player.

Also the MP graphics in GRAW 2 match single player this time around.

Just got through with playing the game for around 5 hours straight, something i never did with GRAW

heh, I found my old copy of this game, and played a few missions :) It's still great, probably the best war fps singeplayer experience in this gen for me. The gfx holds up very well.

I love the Ghost Recon and GRAW series, never stop playing GRAW2, whenever I have a few mates round we are usually on 4 player split screen playing elimination against AI or doing territories and Missions. Haven't played through the single player in a while, but I did enjoy it. I cannot wait for GR4 now, hope they still have the 4player split screen.

Yeah i still remember playing GRAW for the 360 when it first came out, that petrol tanker explosion was really the first great 'omg wow' moment on the 360 and the graphics were just amazing.

The new GRAW should be really good.

We haven't seen any gameplay vids of the new graw yet, but the first trailer seems to ruin the game a bit. I don't mind the future stuff, however the invicibility seems a little out of place.

ah well, time will tell. I'll be getting GOTY tomorrow, so I'll have plenty of time to play it, before the GRAW sequel gets released :)
