Graphics Glitches resulting in Crashes!

Restarted DAOC this morning to find a major problem.

The distant floor appears red/purple to my character, and every few seconds a glitch (such as a flash of white) will occur across the screen. After two or three minutes one of these glitches will cause a crash (requiring the PC to be rebooted) making the game unplayable.

On the one attempt I was able to crash back into windows, upon restarting DAOC i was given a message declaring 'renderer failure' forcing me to restart the computer.

My PC set up is;

VIA motherboard (4 in 1 drivers installed)
1200 MHz AMD athalon K-7
256 MB Ram
Hercules Kyro 2 4500 64MB (Latest Drivers from Hercules Website installed).
Soundblaster Live! 128 (Latest Drivers Installed)

I have tried reinstalling DAOC to no effect.

This problem did not occur when i last played around two months ago with the same system setup.

uninstall gfx drivers and use those that you used 2 months ago

get the latest drivers for your motherboard

I installed the gfx drivers from two months ago, and gfx glitches have been removed, as well as crashing.

Every so often now though, the game will freeze for 10 seconds or so. It occurs every 3 minutes but now and then it can happen almost without delay making it impossible to move.

Oops! Just thought id mention, starscream was me on a friends computer (Just to avoid confusion)
