Graphical artifacts on screen

Well, for the last month or so ive had these glitches appear all over the screen when playing camelot.
It'll start when the computer suddenly locks up for about 10 seconds, when it unfreezes artifacts are all over the screen - however only on the actual graphics, the UI skin has no artifacts on them whatsoever, also it'll only happen when playing camelot and not in any other game. It's also compleatly random - theres nothing ive started up or done anything specific to start it off. This leads me to think its something to do with the software side of things rather than the hardware itself.
Saying that, ive tried pretty much everything I can think of. Ive upgraded the gfx drivers (tried various beta drivers), have latest drivers on sound card etc. Also updated bios on motherboard.

Kinda at my wits end here, the only thing that fixes it for a while is a reboot. Don't wanna shell out more dollar unless im absolutly sure its my gfx card thats fooked.

Cheers for any help:)

Edit: Forgot to mention my specs -

Geforce fx5600 128mb
Amd 2200xp+
1gig ram
Asus A7V8X-X mobo

Have you tried using Driver Cleaner?
http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner/

Take note of the readme file! I.e. don;t ignore it :)

Uninstall all grahpics (and sound if you use creative-crap). Reboot into Safe Mode (F8 key i think). Ignore the install screens.

Run the prog, scrub the cab files, then run the cleaner and scrub all nvidia, ati and creative. Reboot normal.

Install new drivers - ignore the crappy Windows install screens. Install it yourself.

Do you pple use original ForceWare drivers from www.nvidia.com ? I run newest ones with FX5900 and Ti4200, both without slightest problems.

NEVER NEVER USE UNOFFICIAL DRIVERS!
Very recommended not to use gfx card manufacturer drivers, but pure nVidia drivers.
