Now that the F1 season is back, it has sparked my interest in gp3 again. I remember reading a while back about it being possible to play over the internet using a vpn connection?

Anyone out there managed to get it working or am I wasting my time? Tried looking at most of the gp3 fan-sites but there doesn't seem to be anything about it, so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Aloha. Ya its easy, myself and a couple of people have done it this way (isdn MINIMUM btw) - itll work on modem but its not advisable. One player creates an incoming connection account on win2k's VPN, the other connects to its ip (connect to Virtual Private Network in the wizard). Once you are connected, the host of the connection should start a gp3 game, in network options you select host, the other player goes in and connects to your listening game. That should work if i can remember right, I may have forgotten something though, only really play it offline these days.

Hope that helps you chap

Btw : goooo sch00mi :)

Yeah, the GP season has sparked my interest in GP3 again too... only bummer is, I have too many damn games to get through at the moment... why can't we get paid for playing games ?? I know some people do, lucky buggers...

Thanks Kryten. I've set it up at my end and will give it a go tonight and see what happens. We are both using cable modems so hopefully we will be able to get a playable game.

Shame the game ain't up to much:D
Now that barrysworld lives, i suggest some nascar 4 servers, one hell of an amazing game, even though most of it contains oval tracks, there are a couple of normal tracks, that play amazing:) This game has been talked about as the best racing game ever in many reviews, i totally agree, it ranks up among the best there is, along with the likes of toca, swedish tours 2, and merc benz truck racing. The idea of up to 40 player servers is intresting, even though i know 40 players is a bit much, maybe half that should still be a laugh, many racing fans over at highgear seem to think so:)

Heh. I remember that time when Herb lost his rag. :)

Anyway, we've "defected" to NGUK to get our GPL kicks.

U can either setlle this by arguing like little girls (oops, might excite Tuggie that :) ) or by arranging a race to decide who's best :D

Oh, pr0k p13 rul3z !

Apply full lock, let off the power until you have very few revs. Still with full lock on, apply full power. Wheels should start spinning on the spot and soon enough youll start to spin easily enough. Just make sure you can apply opposite lock before you end up in a wall :)

Kryten's way is shit (go figure). Nail the throttle, apply opposite lock, and if you have the car set up right, you will powerslide quite nicely. Shame sliding aint the fastest way round :)
