Good tactical behaviour in Rvr

Look what them horrible albs is up to .......

...tactics, or lack thereof. the moment we arrive in [enemy frontier].. people start wondering off. not as a big army, but in little grps of 2s and 3s that the hibs and mids can kill with ease. u need to have the numbers. also, do not give up tactical posisions (e.g the milegates) to go off chasing mids/hibs back to their pk. its a recipe for slaughter. one person is bound to pull the gaurds accidently then its all over. stay at the milegates. it may seem boring, but the enemy gets bored too, then they come rushing though with no tactics and albs can pick them off no probs. and its a whole lot better than a death followed by a trip back to sauvage.

Have to say, blood and that are right, albs dont really have any strategy, all they mostly do is run about like newbs and getting owned. I might be a alb but mids have more balls then us, i dont run and i know oz and matt don't.......but not much more than do same.

I would have joined mid had the land not been sooo fucking ugly!

Only a few of the better organised guild attacks result in anything other than a retreat (SoTL, PL, KT, GK, LoE) the ad hoc stuff always seems to be a bit crap, even if a chat group is set up.

Last night was a prime example. At one point there were 16 mids camping DC and about 40 albs allowing themselves to be camped. We had sorc's and theurg's with AoE Mezz and AoE Root. We had half a dozen clerics and at least 6 level 50 infiltrators and high level scouts.

Did we charge suddenly rush them all at once and kill everyone? Did we bollox. I got so bored I started not bothing to stealth and trying to melee people. Got killed about 10 times at least when frankly one single charge would have wiped out the entire mid force (simply based on the power of the zerg, no disrespect intended).

Mids have nothing to fear from Albion tactics unless it's an attack from one or more of the guilds listed above and even then only SoTL and PL really have enough level 50s to stand a chance to worry you.

What I take that to mean that it is up to somebody with the knowledge, understanding and experience of what needs to be done to show the members of the realm how to kick butt and behave themselves.

Yeah i was pissed off at that shambles last night, all those shit bags just sat up at DC pissing there panties as usual. I had to go rez someone just down from DC and waited for peeps to kill mids so one of my pals could come rez me, but those fags didn't bother there arses!!

A couple of guilds u mentioned there jadow though are shit , they have some high lvl peeps but i wouldn't let them run a fucking raffle.

I feel I need to speak up here.

Perhaps it was an oversight on Jadow's part, but I don't think it is fair to clump all the non PL, SOTL, and KT guilds into a group of uneffective rvr's.

This just is not true.

What my dear friend and guild mate Casbadh said is very true.
I have seen many raids lead by many different guilds go belly up (including the above mentioned) because of people wandering off when they get bored, etc.

My guild is not as big as those guilds (although we have about 100 members now...does that mean we are still so small?), but we are very effective on the battlefield. I am very proud of our achievements. We have taken keeps with a small army of 8 of us (or less) many times, including keeps in Midgard and Hiberia. And we have defended those keeps for a few days or until we got homesick and wanted to go back to Albion.


The key is organization and listening to what the raid leader says. As far as the event you are talking about, TDS wasn't even there at the time. We were busy taking back Renaris with a few other people. We were also watching the mile gates for enemies to make sure that Excal wasn't their next target while KT were attacking the hibs. (good work, btw.)

So please don't clump everyone together in one group, because every guild, big or small, has a place in our realm. For everyone in the guilds that Jadow mentioned... please for a moment try and not look down your nose at all the other guilds. (yes that is what you do and we don't like it). The whole idea of a realm is that we work together for one purpose and one purpose only... to protect Albion from intruders.

We are just now starting to open the lines of communication between alliances and guilds, please keep this coming.

As for those people who have no rvr skills or the attention span of a goldfish, well every single guild will have those sort of people. Its just a matter of knowing who is capable of performing in a raid and who isn't. Just don't invite those persons who are not willing to defend the realm, but don't exclude whole guilds because one or two people you know from the guild are idiots.

Okay I am done venting. I know we all get frustrated when a few morons ruin the raids, etc. but looking for someone to place blame on is not right either.

Wanna rephrase Jadows post before everyone goes flaming away. Erm i personally think that the listed guilds ie GK, KT, SotL etc. should not be taken as superior organizations <most seem to think of them so> but rather as an example of what works and what a working unit can achieve. Now, nobodys perfect, but im saying if you wanna stop being shadowed by other guilds achievements then do something other than saying 'oh you are so full of youreselves in guild 'XXXX''. Cmon GMs and officers of the rest of Albion do something other than talk and prove all those who

'look down their nose on others' , wrong.. show that you should be reconed with.

Good to know that the other realms have the same communication problem and discipline problems as Midgard, was beginning to think we were the majorly disorganised realm. Think i should get a second account and play as Hib for a while, they might not have the numbers, but they know how to stick together (ok 3rd account, have 2 account both midgard )

Well done to the albs who hold there ground but the running plague seems to have spread to lower lvls as well, was in thidranki as an alt and saw 10 albs (inc stealthers) who turned and ran from a 4 middie charge, wtf?

I can personally vouch matts doesn't run, he must have killed me loads! GJ
