Skip serenity and go for aug dex instead, imo..

Longwind1 - dont forget this one, without it you cant kite enemy tanks for as long and you cant run in mach6 speed with end4 (which most rvr shammys have), which is a great advantage since you wont be taken from behind (and seldom from the sides). You will instead be able to run up on other grps rear :)

Your a Caster. In Order imo

Mcl 1
Purge
Aug Acu 3
Moc
aug Dex 2
Master of the Art 2
Longwind 1
Wild Power 2
Mastery of Magery 2

If you get more points than what you have spent there, you should be telling me what to get next ^^

i would go Longwind 1 quite soon tbh since then you can sprint along with rest of your group :D

Dont leave dem Skalds out :'(

Then you dont have to get lw1 for a bit xD.

You dont have to act elite kicking that skald for Mistar 'Utility' until your High RR you see :D!

Thats not what getting longwind is about:
skaldspeed+longwind1=mach6 speed. Kicking skald sets you back to mach4 if moving on healer speed+longwind1. Some grps are fine with this, mainly elite grps that dont much care if they get attacked from behind, they win anyway.
Also, longwind allows the poor caster to kite when he has the assist train on himself - hit sprint and run in circles around the grp thus preventing the tanks from hitting as often.

Id say:

mcl1 (rank 1.3)
longwind1 (rank 1.4)
purge (rank 2.4)
aug acuity2 (rank 2.8)
mastery of magery2 (rank 3.2)
wild power2 (rank 3.6)
aug acuity3 (rank 4.2)
moc (rank 5.6, or respec when you have rank 4.8 to mcl1, lw1, aug acu3, moc, purge)

actually, if its an 'elite' group then their people will be panning camera around and attacking them from behind doesnt help you much ^^

I personally don't think MoC on a Runie is a must. Runies go down fairly quickly and you cannot stand around MoCing when an assist train heads your way, you have to run around to stay alive. MoC is great against solo or duo enemies but in the zergy emain we all play in today I wouldn't get MoC until at least rr6.

Yup.

And Zebolt might be right - my runie isnt high enough rr to have moc so i dont have any practical experience on how usefull it is :) But its true that standing still will usually get you killed (bodyguard can ofc change this).
You might wanna consider mcl2 and raging power at higher levels.

It's a Fair Point but without MoC against a Good group your going to be next to useless for alot of the fight. You said you didnt think it mattered for Zergs in Emain etc, well thats not true either. If you get a tank on you in a zerg or a fellow caster, you can moc and nuke him to bits.

In Group V Group you have the chance to interupt the enemy supp / casters for 15 secs or just kill/root a tank<s> thats on you. with alert healers and a good guard you will not insta die :). Interutping would be better, in the age of Bodyguard it doesnt mean your immune to interupts and with Bodyguard in your group thats all that can stop you from killing / interupting ;).

I really wouldnt underestimate/ Down Size the importance of the 2nd if not the most important RA for a Mage in RvR. < Purge being the 1st imo anyway>

I played a mage with no moc up to rr6 and boy was I sorry. I played my other mage up to rr5 with moc < ye I didnt have it long :p> and boy was I glad. I will admit 1 of them was a pbae'er but I've tried moc on my rr6 caster and it's great :p. The New moc looks poo thou :(

Not that I am saying Zebolt is wrong, He has valid points. I think its fair to say both of us would be right, Just in my opinion I feel Moc is a must for any class that can get it < except a Friar mebbe xD> as it adds so much to a class :).
