How is malmo still not up? we seriously have to do something about it,imo not much has changed with the aggro ranges and things like that,its still quite a breeze to get in if your familiar with malmo....

I was thinking,how about lvl 50 healers+SM's can bring alts like on excal,it works for them pretty well and im sure it would live'n the place up a bit ..

tbh its not easy to get in to malmo, i would say impossible to do it solo. atleast pre L50.

pre patch i could get a L1 char in to yar spot. Now i cant even get in there with my thane, rr6l5.

I have run there a few times with my warrior, shammie and BD.

Only had aggro once.

Still using the zw and cross at H.

I dont think its any harder than it used to be.

Same as allways to get in 90 % chance if u do it right with decent speed is like very very easy.

tbh, u shud do it how they used to do it, get 2 fg assembled at gna (west skona now..) and go with speed or whetver u have to malmo... should be able to clear out any agro with 2fg's

Aint used the svartalf route recently but its quite possible to get to lair solo with only a few green to yellow draks aggroing on you.

1st you go to the lake area. Move yourself to the stone, S of small drak village. Theres attendant spawn there. Those move around alot, wait until theres gap between aggro and get up to S zonewall. Then hug zone wall closely and move towards lair. NB! Not towards Yar spot, that way is impossible aggro, keep zonewall to your right hand. There -may- be a few yellow draks on the way but those aint much of a problem. That takes you past the O-stones (to your left) and executioner spawn. Execs are close... but not as close as the other side of the valley and they are generally facing away from you. Ive gone that way twice now and both times with no aggro at all. Takes you to lair much faster than the svartalf way as well.

yep, easy to go there, done it often lately.
just look like peeps dont know routes anymore, instead they waite someone scouting for them and holding hand.

getting malmo up? tryed several times, where is peeps?
its worthless whine here when people dont wanna go there, or its quite easy get 2fg up but when other know they are on list, they give up.
there need be all kind support classes on list, if not? cannot keep groups up whit 12 cannonfodder + 3 shammy what is buffbott specced.

i have now 2 chars, hunter and bott 40+ and join if someone organise groups up but self dont do that anymore, atleast when look now

maybe try next weekend again?

Forget about Malmo... the recent patch made mobs resist even more than they used to. My 47 SM using 41 pbae gets like 50% resists on DF diamond mobs. I fear Malmo simply wont work with that ineffective pbae even if you get the people.

im quite sure that it would still work... pbaoe isnt everything, might be slower without, but imo it wud be fast than soloing in spind / SI to 50...

well, we was there whit 2fg copple week ago.
i was whit my healer playing maincc.
we had only 1 pbaeo in 2fg.

what i notice there in those ~10 pulls before wipeout and after some deside leave, had sometimes hard time get my mezzes stick to mobs, and if remember correct mobs in yar was old times most red in 49+, now many was purple
root is allways beem better choice and notice they stick alott easier.

you see every day some guildgroups in malmo, its playable but look like peeps enjoy more long route to 50?

like to mention too, malmo teach us how to work in group together.
how 2fg worked together etc etc.
what is role each classes in group and learned me look group health bar + share needed buffs all around.


these days way too many peeps around who xp only small groups, working sometimes solo.
when this person go rvr he is badly out of "rules"
need learn totally new way to play.

but speaking in this forum dont help anything.
someone need be active, and who wanna go malmo, need be up there, even in list.

The usual Svartalf - Zonewall - lair route still works just fine, though. Been there a few times since patch.

But like always, you have to be careful. You can lose most aggro by running like hell and praying you don't run into any more aggro.

yeah old route works fine, just the usual problem of occasional aggro at hstones (if u dont look where ur going) and just before the corner to safe spot at lair. pbaoe grps DO work coz my guild does them, and it works with 1grp and u pull 10 wolves and u can still pbaoe all of them to the ground with no deaths (did that last week). im up for getting malmo running again just pm me in game if u ever need my help

There's been a lot of changes going on last month or so. Some previously very active players or guilds have more or less vanished. Realistically, it would take an RvR-oriented guild determined to level to make the whole thing work with any regularity, though even there they tend to be insular.

I've got four level 50s on Mid/Pryd, and I can't see me making any more. I've done the classes that interest me and have no interest in being a listholder any more in a place which gives me no benefit and I have to put up with childish whiners a lot because the sad fact is that no matter how good the xp and how long you can stay there for, people get bored and just want more and greater amounts.

I'll go with guild to chill out and have a laugh with friends, but thats about it.

It would actually take an influx of new players who's purpose was to get to 50 rapid without having the variance of who currently has DF to get it running regularly. If you think about it, the times Malmo has been most active is shortly after we had the zone added to the game and it was quickly realised that it was (at that time) the fastest xp available anywhere in Mid, and when there is an influx of new chars after something like SI was released.

There are a lot of hunts at the various Malmo spots, but all the ones I've seen so far are guild groups, prearranged groups, or to be quite blunt, people who are prepared to put the time to organising a proper hunt and work their way through the LFG window

There are so many good alternatives to Malmo now, its more rewarding to hunt in different places because then it seems less of a grind getting to 50.

Why do people want Malmo the way it used to be?

Except for the poor schlep running the list its no effort, just join the list and log your toon when your slot comes up. Robotic levelling which tended to bring out the worst in many, many people.

Do I sound a bit anti-Malmo(List style)?

Quite probably.

I've quit from Group 1 in the past because of the way some people have treated others. I find the avarice and greed it brings out in some people quite disturbing, if they were to take a step back and look at themselves. Yeh yeh I sound all lofty morals, but this is why I only ever did a level or two there with each toon. I'd take in the sights, have a laugh, take a turn doing the list, and then bugger off, reminded of why I only hunt with peeps that want to hunt, not churn lvl50s off a production line

My first time in Malmo i had was pretty decent, you got drops you needed, but the list was long, but people where decent.

2nd time you had to buy what drops you needed :/ Alot of them where screaming for buffs, even if you where ooc, people sent tell BUFFS FFS etc.

But my last 2 lvls was alot of fun thou.
