Going linkdead almost immediately after logging in

As title suggests, either immediately as i log in, or very shortly after, say 1 or 2 minutes, i get the 2 trademark LD signs, Red Latency and Performance squares . This has only begun today, as i was fine yesterday.

Anyone had/having a similar problem

seems to me that this is a widespread problem, alot more LDs lately.. and it all started just recently.

yes, not only was i nearly lding . i did . monday was the worse for me . last 3 days its been lagging alot more then it ever has, monday wasa ml6 raid , i ld`d 6 times in 20 mins and got cred for 1 steps b4 i gave up and played starcraft , today however ( tuesday - wendesday as its passed 12 )
its been great was even albe to duel boot thru a ml7 raid \o/

Since i came back to European servers i have been lding constantly, tho its only on Excalibur
I dont ld on any other european server, nor US server.
5-6 months ago when i played on EU still i never went ld on excal, wonder what went wrong :x

Just a quick question what Network card are you using ? if you are using a 3com based network card I would change it as a lot of ppl ahve been haivng problems with these and these use with broardband

have a simillar problem, but im not using either off the 2 network cards (marvell & 3com) comp specc is enough for daoc as i run classic mostly, the Performance/Link problem comes in both Classic client and ToA client, havent tested with SI. using Nvidia nForce network card, but the problem i think is the adsl modem for me, gonna test today or tommorow with another, the adsl modem i use atm is a Zyxel Prestige one..

Well the strange thing is that I only LD on Excalibur..
I dont LD on Prydwen..Camlan..US->Guinevere, merlin, percival, mordred and many other US servers...
Excalibur like wtfpwn us telia users? ;[

i know people (and myself) who had troubles using onboard network cards
when i put in my pci network card i had no more troubles since

but it could aswell be a router towards goa for you

This seems to be quite a common problem. Every time I've come across it though it's been fixed by either updating the network card drivers or changing an onboard NIC for a PCI card. It's not a router or a game server issue.
