Do England actually believe 2006 is "their year" in football - or just Toshiba cashing in on some peoples "gullibleness"?

The latter; Toshiba will have taken out an insurance policy to cover their loss just in case all the other teams get wiped out by a passing comet and England do win.

It seems to be the "Cash in on the World Cup" Year...I dont remember it being this bad for the last World Cup. Everyone is selling world cup flags and phone covers and all kinds of crap...

yeah, they put down a 20 grand bet at whatever the odds are, and thatl cover the discounts they hand out if they lose. Nice scam for tosh actually. They lose out a bit either way but they sell a lot of kit and get more advertising.

I was in Frankfurt last week and struggled to find anything world cup related either in the city itself or in the airport
