Well City of Heroes was entertaining for about a week, or maybe less. Been away from Daoc since.. the day TOA was released..

What's changed now that TOA has settled down? Are casters playable now... or rather are midgard casters playable now (since I always found it toughest to find a group with a mid caster, saying that the other realms don't have much of a choice :)).

Runies still screaming LFG at MTK, or actually groupable now? We still interrupted by a butterfly flapping its wings in the Pacific? Can we kill anything?

Help :(

well i havent touched my therg or my merc since toa came out, not that they were l33t or anything but i just know that they going to be next to useless now every buggers got toa itemage.

Been a fair few caster groups around, dunno how they have been doing tho.

Awell ToA equiped caster pretty deadly atm from what I've seen.

With all the shiznit from TOA, casters can now do +25% damage PASSIVELY and +35% actively, its rather good :)

Obviously you cna imagine what this has done to the like of the rr9878 hib caster groups :(

rms are needed, bds can do the job also, pure melee grps are fubar now

Caster groups are fotm the only melee chars wanted are those with Bodyguard to protect the casters :fluffle:

From trying to read between the juvenile flaming and tedious whining on VN Boards, it seems that pure melees and all low RRs will suffer in NF.

How needed are rms really? And what spec should be most sought after.
I run in random groups, usually mids randoms still get the healer healer healer shammy then rest tanks setup. Since that was the most common groupsetup i went 47 dark 26 sup to be able to assist with damage add, ghetto nearsight 10 sec pbt and nuke with the assist train. Thought that since most assist trains kill targets pretty fast it would be better with 219 spec nuke than debuff dd.
Well toa changed it all, but how would one be efficient now. I got a full respec stone and a full ra stone. Either darkcarver or full suppression seems like the best choice now.
Suppression would be more of a support caster with nearsight and the pbt, it could fit into most groups, even tank dominated groups. Nearsight would obviously be the most important spell. But should this really take a group spot away. I suppose they would be quite good in mage groups ecpecially versus hippies and alb mage groups after the initial mezzings and the standoff interupt nuke war begins. Nearsight and aoe would be nice there. Does it justify dropping a warrior or another sm out though?

Darkcarvers are good solo characters if you have access to a buffbot. I cant really see the role they fit in tankdominated groups. In mage groups they could do nice with the cold debuff, playing an enchanter role without pbaoe and pet. Also instant killing rezzed targets with bolts could be useful.

Now what im interested in is how you look on rm in groups. Does it have a spot in an opted midgroup?
As a suppression runie should you go purge mcl2 moc, and darkcarver purge mcl moc mcl 2 passives?
