GOA won't replace my epic leggings

(yes i emailed rightnow, was the first thing i did...will tell ya more in a sec)

I logged in Saturday and was running about in Albion...first to DF (not accessable) so then I go to the Barrows. After killing a mob or two, a couple people start making comments about my legs. *nothing obscene, but yes funny* And I realized, I have no pants on !! (i'm a highlander so of course i still have my kilt on)

So I panic and yell at my son who i caught over by my computer while i was cooking him eggs, but he insisted he was just "making the girl move" (he's only 4, that's all he can do).
So I sit down and I scroll thru that message box (thank goodness someone told me about shift + page up, saved a lot of time) and I looked and looked and i looked to see if it said anything about deleting anything or dropping anything or selling anything.

Nothing, absolutely nothing.

I felt sick. My mind started to race as I thought back to when I logged before. It was the night before, I had been killed near Excalibur and I remember I was still dressed. I released and logged, frustrated with my numerous deaths that night and did not log back in until the next morning.

So I really start to freak and then I realize RightNow... they will help me. Its customer service, right and I'm the customer! (stop that laughing in the back!! ;) ) So I email them and figure well its Saturday so I won't hear from them on Monday. No matter, I have some lightwatcher leggings in my vault and maybe, just maybe my trainer might be able to help me out. (okay i'm desparate at this point. I worked very hard for those leggings!!)

So Monday comes and I run to check my email and I get the following response:
It seems your leggings have been dropped or deleted, so we cannot give them back. Please make sure no one has access to your account informations.

WHAT THE HELL????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So they just basically accused me of 2 things right there... sharing my account and lying. I take very high offense of being called a liar.

Secondly, I was told by a friend that they can't check their logs to see if we drop/delete/sell items. Don't know if that is true, is hoping that its not. I am really hoping that they can go back and check for me to see what happened to my pants. No one has had access to my account during that time period. (yes i let one person have access to my account, but this person is a trusted member of my guild and has not used my account in a while. )

So I am really really really really reallllllly upset. Somehow there is a bug in the game and i have no pants. But instead of believing that they might be to blame, its my fault, even though they have no way to prove so. (if they do, i apologize but i want to see their log that says otherwise)

at the end of the message came the standard...
We will assume your issue has been resolved if we do not hear from you
within 48 hours.
Thank you for allowing us to be of service to you.

Hmmmpff. I even sent back a second response saying no its not resolved, i did none of the above and i want my leggings back. I even offered to do part of my epic again to receive them. (not that i should have to for their mistake, but i am trying to compromise)

I haven't heard back from them yet, but i will email them every single day and keep this topic open on their helpdesk until it is resolved.

Now I am really mad :( Damn this sux.

Keep in mind that "if" you want to update your question do it in RightNow and don't use the "insert your reply here" section of the email. It doesn't work and they don't read them. Get back into RightNow and update your question there again.

I can understand that they have to draw a line somewhere. They always said they don't restore deleted characters and they've done that several times too. So I'd just keep tying and they might restore it if you keep insisting.

Goodluck :(

Same sort of thing happenned to me a while back (luckily not with epic armour though).

Logged out one night, logged back in the next day, and was missing my Manifested Terror Pants.

I did not delete them, or drop them. They just weren't there.

I didn't do anything about it, apart from go and get another set, but in your case this is impossible...

:(

gah that sucks :(

the only thing i can see to get them back would be to get someone elses who doesn't need them as they have a legion type drop or you find a minstrel leaving thegame :/

Ask GOA/RightNow for proof (logs) of you deleting/dropping the leggings. If as you say, they cannot provide this, it's no longer your problem but theirs.

They will have to restore your leggings, as your case of a 'bug' is stronger.

/whilst you're at it, get me two Dragon-Drop shortswords pls :)

If they have it logged then they should be able to tell you where and when you destroyed/dropped the leggings. At least that will give you a firm idea of whether you did it accidentally or if there is something more dubious afoot.

Lots of women drop their pants and then regret it in the morning.

Nothing to see here. Move along :p

<mutters> Damn, Rasp beat me to it!

Seriously though, I can only echo what everyone else has said: Bug them for the logs. If they can't prove it, they should replace your leggings - failing that, wait for 1.53 and spellcrafting.

I went ID once when I was in the process of popping dye on my leggings and had the leggings selected to go back on to me I freaked out, I thought I had lost them.

To actually find someone who has lost them is very very very sad indeed :-(

I mistakenly sold a lvl 22 quest reward on midgard. I wrote a fairly upbeat email asking if it could be replaced and pointed out the majority of such items are not usually able to be sold.
Thankfully the CS who answered was in a nice mood, and hey presto I got the item back.
I was chuffed to bits as its the first time I've ever contacted CS.
Sadly looks like your case is much 'better' than mine.
Go to Kemor.
G'luck.

Hehe, wonder if it was deliberate :p

Best of luck Kyra, if someone can get a lvl 22 quest item returned, I'm sure you'll be able to get your leggings back. Will be really harsh if you don't! Keep trying!! :)

I dropped a Bwaca Hide by mistake which I needed to complete my Epic and after contacting RightNow it was replaced.

If you need people to back you up or write to RightNow in your defence I would gladly do so as I know you are a good honest person who as put alot into the game

Gee... it really seems to depend on who works on your case, eh?

Well, I accidentally (rather in a fit of frustration...*coughs*) deleted an epic quest item used RN and pronto-pronto had it back.
Was xping in a dungeon when some GM delivered me the item in best rp-fashion!
I was thrilled to say the least... since then I have candles burning for GOA's CS, hehe.

I suggest this thread shall be kept alive until your problem is solved. Email TEH Kemor, PM him, call him at 3am in the morning and post your problem on the General board, too.
Heck, Mr. T accidentally deleted his l50 skald and got it back...

Oh- and never trust your children in DAoC matters... my little 1yr. old Luwikeen baby remapped my keys earlier today... took me ages to get it fixed again. :D

I accidentally deleted an epic quest item but a GM didn't deliver it in person, it just magically appeared in my inventory overnight. ;)

thats harsh, by the sounds of it item replacement is a regular thing, so prehaps you caught someone having a bad day and they wanted to share it...

cant say ive ever dropped or sold anything i need tho. i always stick it at the top of my first bag so ill see it. infact lately my first bag has just been full of items that i dont want too sell... and im running low on Vault space... might have to have a hand out sesion to the ikle people in mithra/keltoi since most of it is from my lower lvls ;)

Well I got my pants back :) I am so happy and I sent a thank you email right away.

This is the message i got:
I went through our logs myself and could not find any reference these leggings.
Anyway, I gave them back to your character.

Not sure what that means... but I am just thankful I got them back.

Heh I could understand if I had been out drinking and woke up in an alley somewhere :p

Just really odd and glad they were able to fix my problem.

Lots items ect.......

My friend moved from Mid to Hib on Prydwen. After getting his char to lvl 20+ in Hib his account got deletet by GOA.

After many attemts to get GOA to restore his char's - he gave up and moved back to Mid. Dont think he's playing anymore - sure you can understand why.

You are never going to get GOA to give back lost items/gold ect.

It suck's bigtime - losing Epic armor like that.

I wonder how much I would have to lose before i /quit the game for good ?
