GOA read this please <Constructive Idea>

If you can't fix the subscription pages before the weekend couldnt you at least stop peoples accounts from expiring until you fix it ? This way you'll keep some of your customers happy who can play over the weekend, you'll not have dwindling populations in any of the realms and its the most reasonable think to do.

If anyone wants to post in reply to this please do so constructively as if I was GOA and started reading flames I'd ignore and move on.

For background :

1 account already locked out due to expiration which I would like to renew my subs.

the other account expires this Sunday, I reckon other people might well be in the same boat.

I strongly agree with this, they did mention some free day(s) compensation, but if they could extend all subs until the pages are open again that would relieve alot of presure from the users.

I'm not sure when mine runs out - i have a feeling its this month, but I cant check, or update my subscription

Please could you do this, If you were to add these 'compensation' days now maybe they would cover accounts that are due to expire and extend them until the subs pages are back up.

Personaly I've no gripe with what GOA have done this last week, there was a problem with the servers, I was unable to play for one evening while passwords were being sent out and the following day all was well, From my experience there has only been one evenings downtime on the servers, this is completely acceptable based on the previous uptime, no one can or should expect 100% uptime.

er wake up - the subs pages been down for a week now with still no sign of them being back up so some people havent been able to get on since and thats acceptable!?

Stormm,

Go gripe elsewhere please, plenty of other posts more suited to your complaint. I didnt praise GOA and have one account affected by the subs pages being down. Jessy on the otherhand isnt affected by the subs pages being down so he/she wouldn't be p'd off about it. The aim of this post is to be constructive in the hope that GOA would read it and take the idea on board realising its a form of damage limitation.

If they re-open subs pages now then accounts will be compromised, Its clear that someone may have gained access to account login/passwords, so until ALL game/sub passwords have changed they need to keep rightnow and sub pages down.

The quicker the passwords get out, the sooner these services will be re-opened and users allowed to request a change in email or renew their subs


This thread purely states the idea of marking all accounts to "NON EXPIRY" until these services are re-open, which im sure we all agree is a fantastic idea.

i've got 3 accounts 2 mine and the other one is my fiances... all the subs on all 3 accounts died on the actual day the subs went down. I agree that we should be able to keep playing if the subs can't be reached only seems fair that we should be aloud a "grace" period where the ppl whos acc expired within x amount of days of the subs going down can still play. Atm doesn't seem right that i for example won't be able to reach any of my 3 accounts for 14 days and won't get any form of conpensation for it where as someone who was lucky enough to have autorenewal on for example will get 1 free day or wotever is being offered.

Not critisising anyone just think that maybe giving a grace period to all acc's who expired recently will make things alot playable (and make emain more populated than a free vasectomy clinic )

Do you get a warning before your account expires over email ? I seam to remember recieving one some time ago before i renewed.

Not that i'm aware of - i usually just wake up and get that "we have renewed your subs!!" email, grinning at me like its done something fantastic, and it's really proud of itself...

Then the electric gets cut off, cos the standing order didnt go thru the day after, so heck i can't play anyway

still, they reckon it'll be back on by tonight <shrugs>
