GOA events are fun

Just finished attending my second goa event "attack of the redcaps/morvalts"
This whole thing was extremely funny and well planned.Roleplaying at it's best.This made me thinking that for those of us who are playing this game for both pve and rvr the game is getting a lot better time after time.The CSRs are a great addition and have been helpfull on various occasions.(Like on one of the ml4 raids i was leading and erivoss gave me the quest item which was dropped inside the wall).So i think i speak for quite many ppl when i say gooo GOA and keep making this game better for us

I think it's clear that this type of event is most succesful on these servers where roleplaying is limited. No huge storylines that take several months, just a couple of hours of fun to break with routine

Last night, it started around 20:10 CET on Excalibur.

Thanks to everyone who took part and in particular thanks to the volunteers who played the parts of NPCs and kicked guilds and alliances to get involved.
I was on Excal for the duration of the event and it was nice to see that most people were having a lot of fun with it - the reaction when the deathspam started rolling in from Bjarkan was particularly funny...

We'll be running events across all the realms every couple of weeks so, if you missed this one or just can't wait to try the next, don't worry there'll be more coming along. On that note, if there's something you'd really like to see, an idea for an event or just some feedback on stuff we've already done then we're always interested to hear it. The event that happened on Excal last night was being echoed on Pryd at the same time.

When in doubt about when events are going to occur talk to the Eyes and Ears team for your realm/server as they should be aware of what is going on. We intend to hold events every two weeks or so alternating through the different realms. As some of these, like the one that was held last night, are suprise attacks they may or may not appear on the official website.

I didn't miss anything though as it was a mid-only event, I think.

Trying to hold an event bi-weekly is great, though. I think that Hibernia had a party a while ago, and now the Mids had this, Alb is next I suppose? I hope, that is?

I'm glad people enjoyed the event and I was very impressed at the turnout. I've done a fair few events over the realms and usually we have a hard time gathering 2 fgs...

The animations should follow a 2 week cycle with an event in one of the 3 realms each time around. The current order is Mid->Alb->Hib but that can change at any time due to various reasons I won't bother going into. In the future we might try doing some small scale inter-realm events but nothing definite planned yet...

I'd love to give you all more events but there simply isn't enough time. Those redcaps didn't magically appear, someone had to put them there and tell them to kill you all and that does take a considerable amount of work. Not hard, just very time consuming... We also work on other things like permanent content - new npc's, quest etc. 2 new midgard quests were activated this week and there should be some more across the other realms coming soon too

Nice to see GOA providing some decent added value over Mythic's servers. Almost makes me wish I was still playing.
