I think it's excellent to give live events to the server, but ... wasn't really possible to do this without overlapping on long planned, rare ML raids ?

We risk to fail both this way :(

Very bad planning, although I suppose the ML7 raid has changed date *twice*.

I know I have moved the ML7 raid twice, it was a hook-up in planning, and I have appologised for any problems caused by this. Though, I did change it back a few days ago, not 20 mins ago.

A big sorry to the GoA staff, that are holding the event, but I will continue with the ML7 raid.

ML7 raid starts at 18:00GMT, and I don't think we will make it before the GoA Event starts.

Sincerely,
Ovron

We run events thursday nights about every two weeks, the albion event was last tuesday due to technical difficulties however we are still on the same schedule we always have been.

Regardless of the raid we had more than enough people to come out and kick some unliving backside!! Thanks to those who came out to help, we run these events for you guys so keep coming out and we'll keep doing them!!

Special thanks go out to Hufner who took on the task of being Hersir for the evening and to Tesla who was the Kobby Emissary.

Take care all and thanks again!

Good to hear, Zenythe, but next time please do collaborate with the community instead of competing, it gives better results and you will make the work of organizers more worth the time spent. Dividing our already small numbers is silly, and saying 'we do raids about every two weeks' is not enough - this is the reason why raid are posted here, to avoid overlapping and finding a solution when so.

These events are run on all servers at the same time. Weeks of planning go into them and on the evening themselves all the people that worked on the event are working overtime to make sure that they can adapt/fix things that go wrong... They simply have to run on the days we plan them on.

We could 'advertise' the events earlier though that way you guys could keep the evening 'clear' but the downside of that is that we risk gettting 100+ people on one server and 10 on another. And it's very hard to make an event that's interesting/challenging for 100 people and still doable by 10 ... But point taken and for the next event we'll see if we can put it up here a bit earlier.

And on the topic of the 'weak' reward. GOA quests will hardly ever give a reward at all .. and if they do it will be a 'roleplay reward' ... don't expect any more +50% resist items ;) The reward is the event itself.

Additionally at one point we -did- advertise large events with a fair amount of time to get people involved... uh hem... and guess what? The other two realms who weren't involved with the event decided it was a dandy night for a relic raid... at which point we got blasted because we advertised it... go figure.

Well roleplaying rewards rock! I somehow lost my red eye cloak fromt he BG3 event long ago.

But imo an example of a reward could be to get your gov at 9% dur raised to 100% again. :p

Probably a bad idea but.. it's always something. And would probably result in alot more people showing up.
