Glowing Soul Gems - what Level ?

Im levelling up my alt and have 21 of these things now. (My alt is lvl 15)

What is the minimum level my alt has to be before being able to hand them in? At the moment the guy refuses to take the gem. Also does she have to talk to an NPC to activate the "quest"?

Not sure of the minimum level but did it with my Sorc at level 20, one thing I noticed since last patch though is that when they give you xp a mob also seems to appear (it was grey con at level 30 so no idea how tough it actually is but one to watch out for if you doing this with low level alts).

And as far as I know you just give them to the guy in COnrwall no need to speak to an NPC to activate it.

I went there with a lowbie alt but i never made it cos I got attacked by 1000 minature trees.

Fortunately Im playing my alt on a 2nd account so my scout (41) escorts her everywhere - he is how I got so many gems - by mullering greater boogies and levelling the alt.

You can hand em in at 21 for sure. Maybe at 20 but that's I'm not sure about.

1 thing though. They've been nerfed into oblivion.

At lvl41 with my minstrel I used to get about 0.8% exp.

At lvl21 with my scout it gives me 220k exp that's the same amount as a killtask at lvl19

I was greatly dissappointed after having farmed boogeys for hours with my minstrel and finally gave them to my scout. They used to just give either exp or 50s but now they give either a gem (sellable upto a couple of G), 50S, a angry spirit who attacks you or that crappy amount of exp

Hmmm ... did the Yarleys offer you a share in their pig farm too ?

But yes, them gems aren't what they used to be. Rumor has it that on rare occasions, you get a huge XP amount. Done moor and greater ones for ages checking that out but never had it happen.

They work at all levels.
I did them at lvl 41 and got 500k xp
It's random what you get, sometimes you get loot, sometimes xp, and sometimes the souls that appear when you give away that gem even start to hit you, was grey con to me though. Some of the loot I got was worth about 5 or 6g a piece.
