Glimmerspirit Sword

I've been wanting the Glimmerspirit sword now for quite some time. That glowing effect must be the nicest on Hib.

I know it drops in Sheeroe Hills, but where and who drops it? Can someone also say what lvl the mobs are who drops it and I would be very happy

I have seen it mainly drop off Azure Thror in the Azure bit. He's the named one in the last village. Think he's about lvl55-8ish, will bring two friends when you pull him as well. You'll need at least one mid-high 40's or 2 low 40's groups.

Yup nemed azures spwn rate quite low thou low to mid 40s group can get good xp ther from the second wall

On excaliber ive seen the non-named azures drop the sword 2, there quite common, hunt there for a hour or 2 and u may even get 2 swords

Not sure about thror being level 55-58 as a lot of the time he is red con to me at level 44 (red con 50-55?). Hoever, for a red con he hits harder than the purple azure avengers (as does his mate Coseal).

Oki, now I know where the sword is. All I need now is a group who will camp there for some hours.

Actually it dont always take hours,my group were running around Sheeroe and getting Kelegur spawn,then we decided to leave and kill named azures in way.Coseal did drop it in first kill

Thror and Coseal ALWAYS drop an item when killed, it'll be one of:

A piece of Seolc cloth armour (AF49 with nice bonuses, but always referred to as 'mage crap' by the majority of any group)

A gem (seen 3 different varieties for int casters, emp casters and tanks, all nice to have)

A weapon (glimmersprit sword or midnight vengeance falcata, another glowy weapon - they might drop other weapons but i haven't seen them)

Most evenings you'll find expeditions leaving Innis for Sheeroe, and usually a decent size low/mid 40s expedition will decide to go camp the azures. Hang around Innis asking for a group that has a space, you'll probably get into a Sheeroe raid. When I organise GoS trips to Sheeroe we are always open to non-guildies, and I MAY be organising one next Wednesday. Can't guarantee that anyone gets the drop of their dreams, but it's your best bet of getting a glimmer sword (short of a generous high level who happens to have several in their vault...)

LOL, yeah it's many people who has that sword in their vaults collecting dust

Well, I guess I'll have to look for a group then and get me one of those juicy swords

I really dont see the point you're hunting for that sword before lvl 50 aranor. Its dps is 16.2 while even on 49 your characters maximum dps counted damage is 15.9 (therefore not taking advantage of the sword) and I'd be sick to put that stuff in me vault why not wait til 50 and go get it then?

The simple reason, IT GLOWS!!!
I'm not going to use it until lvl 50 I know that too, but being able to stand in Mage mell and see all small Lurikeens faint when I equip it

Well I've got a glimmer sword and even use it (under specific special circumstances) at level 44.

There aren't that many level 40+ swords that drop in Hibernia, and even fewer of them are slow, heavy weapons. After the level 40 epic sword, almost all weapons are level 48+ so you almost have to use something that's orange to you to get maximum benefit out of attack speed buffs. We don't have weaponcrafters turning out the level 45+ weapons yet... although some of us are working towards fixing that.
