I was considering going as I posted here last month or something but have reconsidered. Instead of buying me and the gf tickets and spending a small fortune for corporate rock under the guise of free love I've bought 2 tickets to Rio de Janeiro \o/
Glastonbury for me the only time I get to catch up with a lot of my old mates who have moved away. People as coming from Dublin, Glasgow, Essex, all over really.
And £105 for 5 days is just over £20 a day...doesn't seem too bad.
I shall mostly be wasted in a field somewhere with my tin and an endless stream of scrumpy like I have done at every glastonbury there has been for the last 10 years.
I'm contemplating it as well. Load of mates goin just a question of if I've got the cash spare what with the smegload of holidays I'm already going on this year.
Nowt wrong with the bogs as far as I found, every single porta-loo I've ever been into at a festival has been spotless, with spare toilet tissue as well lucky bastard apparently
My brother in law just ordered his ticket on line at my place. I'm guessing it wouldn't let you proceed with booking if the tickets were all sold out right? Anyone know?
The system has overrides for running out...I know because I ordered in the first 5 minutes, and it told me it was out of tickets. I reordered, and it was fine.
They had the piss taken out of them by Billy Bragg last time they played, so I doubt they will go back. I think REM will take the Sunday night slot anyway.
Yeah, and Nicky hit back at Bragg in a nice style. The Glastonbury they played before the Billy 'twat' Bragg incident they made some comments about it being a shithole, and needs a motorway built over it.
I think a band that claims to be as political as the Manics do, even goes to visit Cuba to prove its socialist ideals, then insists on its own private portaloo at Glastonbury, deserves all the stick coming to them.
