Maybe because most people aren't sad enough to watch trashy TV, and most people have some kind of music sense (i.e. not paying any attention to all these "instant pop fame" tv programmes, where the bands last 5 seconds and hate each other to death).

I saw that postar thing for the first time the other night when they were introducing the girl band.

They were Bad, I mean really rubbish, terrible, school talent show awful.

Quite nice on the eye though. Apart from the token ugly Bird who is probably just there so the producers can go, 'look look, we didn't pick all of them on looks alone.
