My gaming life has been lying very much dormant for the past 3 years or so, mostly hampered by owning a P120 with 24MB RAM. (yes they still exist and no it wasn't dug up by some smelly paeleontologist).
This is about to change and I want games like a mad itch.
any suggestions please?

What should I get right now. Whats a bargain at the moment. What should I wait for?

Aside from RA2, what RTS, adventure and other games should i buy?

RTS:

Homeworld Cataclysm is alright.
Total Annihilation is my all time fav RTS. (bit old now though).

Adventures:

Escape from Monkey Island is a new one. Dunno if its good or not coz I hate adventures.

Metal Gear Solid was ace on PSX and not too bad on PC.

Nothing much else too be honest.


Oh, did I mention that Counterstrike was good?

I would wait for UT2 (not sure when it comes) but UT rocks Q3 is a little like Duke 3d Multiplayer (deathmatch which gets boring after 5 mins)

Red Faction, with the new techology, being able to shoot a wall with a rocket, the wall crumples and a hole apears, shoot the leg of a sniper tower and the tower falls down. If someone is following you in an APC run over a bridge, blow up the bridge when it is halfway and watch the apc go down with it etc.

I'm sure there are more that i can't think of.

Ummm... Not upto date with RTS's anything with lotsa guns and good graphix.
