I partied Gilly the other day in Emain and it was my great pleasure to witness him in action. Not ONCE did he cheat by putting pet in walls or any other wanky trick like that. It was always possible for the enemy to target and engage his pet.

Necros are not that uber...you just have to figure out how to engage them. Same with bonedancers and animists...strategy is required.

I'd be very suprised to see any screenshots which show undeniable cheating from Gilly.

I think this thread is sour grapes imo.

Q: I appealed so and so for nuking from inside the keep, and the CSR said he wasn’t exploiting. The Herald seems to imply that what so and so was doing WAS exploiting! Was the CSR wrong?

A: No, the CSR was quite right. The pet LOS fixes currently on Pendragon are the first step towards rectifying a long standing issue with our game, but that does not mean people who are using the currently live system are cheating.

An exploit IS:
- hiding inside geometry where you cannot be hit (rocks, trees, bridges, etc.)
- standing on surfaces where you cannot be hit (some rooftops, rocks, etc.)
- using geometry and/or pathing errors to avoid damage (the infamous “stand on rock so the monster can’t hit you” ploy)

An exploit is NOT:
- standing inside a keep and having one’s pet nuke attackers using a nuke that doesn’t require LOS
- using GTAOE spells in a cheesy yet legal manner

Using a nuke that doesn’t require LOS can’t be cheating, see what I mean? That’s a game problem, not an exploit. The problem with the “indoor nuking” and the GTAOE targeting issue isn’t that the person or pet casting the spell has somehow found a way to get around the system, it’s that the system has a flaw. A flaw that the dev team IS working on fixing. But for the time being, there’s nothing the CS team can do to stop it. I hope that makes things a little more clear. And I hope with all my heart and all my typing fingers that these issues become moot in the future.

Necro's are abusing the LoS bug, we can do nothing about it, whining makes you feel better for a day or so, but in the end think about when LoS is fixed, necro's are gona be utterly shite, and you know your gona have your revnge Arakasi .

No, every Alb seems to look for all kinds of excuses when someone starts a thread on necro LoS abusers...the only reason Mythic said that it isn'"t bug abuse, is cuz they knew damned good they wouldn't be able to handle all the reports etc...this is what they said in the 1.58 patch notes:

LINE OF SIGHT FIXES

- Necromancers now must be visible to their controlled creatures to perform "pet cast" spells. This fixes the exploit where Necromancers could park their pets in keep towers and wander around outside, and have their pets cast at the Necromancer's target.

Not once in RvR have I ever used a pet , except the occasional tank pet to help on keep doors . Never against an invader . Oh and I die lots so don't RvR any more , hehe
