Just got an email from Amazon asking if I'd like to pre-order Ms Arnold's latest offering that is to be released on June 1st.

So Lou, you finished it yet then? :p

I still haven't got round to getting you to sign the 2 copies of the 1st one I bought.

(Does it make any difference who I buy it from to your pocket? Otherwise I'm pre-ordering tonight!)

No difference to my pocket, not so far as I know, so order away :) Yes, I finally got it finished, working on a third one now. I'm almost productive!

Heh, no need to apologise Whipped. You're not exactly the target demographic, so I think I can forgive you if you just read the blurb and fake the rest :)

Really, how are ghosts meant to feel each other up before the bike shed?
I mean unless they died on a bike they don't even get astral wheels right?

Heh, I like the fact that Sharma's version of porn just involves violating the english language.

I must confess, I hadn't heard of slash fiction before I found a website where someone said my book had good "slash potential". Innocent little flower, aren't I? I googled it, and found just the most appalling picture of two hobbits in cohoots. I haven't found any slash fiction written about my books yet though, which is quite a relief. I'm not entirely sure of the numbers sold on the last book - I know it's >20k, but I think that's not just England, it's commonwealth too, and it's on a slow burn. No idea how many the american version has sold. No top seller list, but it's just happily skipping along, continuing to sell, which can only be a good thing.

Anyway, this thread is a nice antidote to a rubbish day. Been feeling a bit under the weather, so had a nap earlier on in my reclining chair. Woke up, and discovered that I'd slept on a kitten poo. So I flap about a bit in horror, commence tidying it up, stripping and burning my clothes, soaking the world in febreeze, when a friend turns up out of the blue. I make him a cup of tea, and I'm grabbing him a book to show when I manage to get one foot tangled up in an airer, do the splits, throw tea all over the clothes I changed into, crack my head, twist my ankle, and get three ridges from the clothes drier imprinted into my back. Cat poop and injuries :(

Aw, bless...

Can I still send you those books to sign btw? I think the lad I bought them for is just about old enough now, and I can get the new one and give them to him altogether.

Course you can Gumbo. Oh, I think WHSmiths are including them in a 3 for 2 offer, so if people want to buy other books it could work out better value buying it there.

And ECA, I broke Kenny's will a long time ago. He's not going anywhere. You're too late! TOO LATE!!

I'll just squidge a cat poo between the pages, and then psychiatrist style, you can ask her what she sees in the shape. That do?
