I haven't got it yet, maybe next weekend... is it worth it ? I pretty much enjoyed the PC version, but the netcode sucked if more than 6 ppl played...

Yeah it's fun, pretty much a straight port from the PC except for all the unlockable extra weapons (which mostly suck though apart from the M98 sniper rifle and M60 HMG 
)
Netcode seems OK on Live but I've not played it with more than 4 people so far - very few games of it ever :/

i love it on the pc but i am not splashing out fer the same game twice. plus point would be voice comes minus would lack off mouse and no user made maps

So has anyone got Live and a chipped xbox with on off switch (on the chip)

I have a switch on the chip but I'm not going to open my XBox every time I wanna use XBox Live so I haven't tried it

What chip have you got, wij?
On the xecutor live ii you can mount an external switch, there's a jumper setting that can have a switch attached to it, so it can be turned on/off.

What is more fun on Live? Ghost Recon or Mechassault? I nearly bought Ghost Recon the other day but ended up buying BF1942 instead.

I've just got GR for xbox today & personally prefer it to Mech when it comes to single player or online... granny, what name do you use on xbox live ? I'll give you a shout sometime for a game...

If you've got any Mechwarrior game it is exactly the same, don't know about Live I suppose it would be the same as Mech 4 Online.

No it's very different m8... for starters, mech 4 is first person, mech assault is all 3rd person. It's probably a bit more like a cross between mech commander & mech 4. On Live it's a lot more 'arcadey' than MW4 could ever be.

I meant in the lay out(does not include custom weapons etc..), same type of mechs, weapons level design etc...
