Hey, im not a total newbie at creating gfx, but can someone tell me how to create a curve?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ that is the desired effect i want, but obviously neater

I'd create straight lines up and down, then use a circle tool to creat the round bits in the corners...

Maybe an oval tool would create nicer curves

fill background blue

create new layer

give new layer focus / make current

choose the rounded rectangle tool (under the rectangle tool toolbox item)

adjust values in top toolbar

set foreground color to white

draw a shape.

modify shape to give you the out come
