Hi, I have a Geforce 4 TI with a TV out function.
Every time i try to play a DvD on my PC i get this;
"This copy protected disc can not be played when the TV out function is enabled."

How do i turn off the TV out function ?

thanks 4 ur time :)

Ok just did a quick search on some forums, a possible fix can be found using:

DVDIdle

I've never used that software before but is worth a try. If that doesn't work post info on your card manufacturer, drivers and your DVD Player and I'll search some more.

If you want you can also search the DivX Digest forums. I saw some thread with people having the same problem but no definitive solutions apart from DVDIdle so far.

Keep us updated :)

the DVDIdle is for DVD's from another format, PAL & NTSC, with my Gfx card i can play videos,watch Tv etc... in other words there is nothing from stopping someone putting a DVD in the PC, hookin it up to the recorder and making copies, so all i have to do is disable that part of the card....which i have no idea of doing :(

im usin a Geforce 4 TI 4800 SI made by Nvidia.

Do you know who actually produces it specifically? E.g nVidia are the chip maker, but another company will have produced it - it'll be on the box. Having said that, it's hard to tell if that will help really since nVidia cards all use the same drivers.

With this apprently TV-Tuner model though the manufacturer's own tech support and FAQs may yeild an answer.
