The Geforce FX series of graphics cards do not currently work properly with the Shrouded Isles game engine. Please note, our developers are continually working with Nvidia in order to release a future series of drivers that will fix the issues that the cards are having with Dark Age of Camelot. One option you may wish to perform is to turn off the shadow effects option in the game menu options screen. Although the previous solution may help with the above known issues, Shrouded Isles may continue to be unstable with the GeForce FX card at this time. Please check back in the near future for updated details.

Not exactly solved the problem, but at least I know it's not a driver/setting issue on my machine, and will hopefulyl be fixed soon.

the problems i have is intermitttent frezzing of the card and shaodows off doesnt stop it. If anyone has got their cards to work perfectly post your solution here.

p.s. pls dont do the usuall .. have you got updated driver etc etc. i have tried all and Gforce know there is a problem. untill they solve it i suppose its graphics setting that will minimise problems.

GeForce FX5200 'upgrade'

I had a Voodoo 5 and loved it, however though the gtraphics were superb it simply wasnt compatible with an increasing range of software. So I had no option but to upgrade and chose a card I could best afford.

Frankly the GeForce Fx5200 works well so far, I get an occassional pallet error but I had that with the voodoo and it clears up.

I cant tell if the card is noisy, its certainly quieter than my old hard disk (budget didnt stretch to everything) so all in all I have no complaints. Though I dont have Ti expectations, just the ability to run, rather than flatly refuse to run new software.

im also very impressed with my 9700.

the only problem i have is that even swg runs with better fps than.. i got really really crap fps, especially in towns/near buildings.

it runs "ok" on open fields as long as we dont get uberzerged.

any idea how to increase performance? :/

yes. i have tried lots of different drivers, via4in1 updated, dx9.
