Gf2 MX

Thoughts on the GF2mx's ? I just got a cheap MX400, and whilst it seems good with old stuff like hl etc. , lets just say AVP2 wasn't constant 60fps, or at least didnt seem like it, and thats at fairly low res's (the rest of the system spec is 1.4ghz, 256mb DDR, XP-pro, latest dets)

So, are they shite, or not ? And yes, I do acknowledge that AVP2 is a 'new' game, not qwcl

AVP2's engine although nice looking, i don't think uses the system resources well enough

gf2mx is a fine card m8 no problem there,particularly the 64m 400 model.

I have a 64 Meg Abit MX-400.
Does the job nice. Will do FSAA on some older games nicely too. Certainly makes the old FIFA games look a little nicer!

Aparently it has DVD decoder built in too (it even threw in DVD software in the box, and a TV-OUT) but I have no idea, the Matrix played with no probs so I didn't worry about it

I probably wouldn't buy one now, maybe go for the budget Radeon, or wait for GF3-MX which I assume is imminant or already out.

I doubt there'll be a GF3-MX really. It's just pointless putting a GF3 core with SDR memory. They'll just wait untill DDR memory becomes even cheaper and re-release the Ti200 even cheaper when the GF4 comes out. (I'm guessing but hey, fuck you, I might be right ! )
