Me and the missus are tying the knot this September. Just wondering if anyone has any information on how much a Registar costs for a civil wedding. I'm trying to get through to the registars office for my town, but the damn thing is always engaged.

no idea at all, but if your planning to go to vegas any time soon - $29.95 with free pepsi!

On a serious note, congrats!

Cheers. My sister actually did the Vegas thing. Not quite as tacky as it sounds, well apart from the Gondalla ride ;)

Invite NOBODY to your wedding. Then at least everyone is equally offended :)

I'm paying for this thing. So I may end up not inviting everyone to keep the evening do's costs down ;)

I'm sure my dad had one of those.

Is it an american riot gun or something along those lines?

Congrats Whipped.

Christ, just got a call from the registars office. Going to cost £30 each to register and then £265.50 for them to come to the hotel to perform the ceramony. £265 for 10-15 mins work. Think I may change perfession.

Of course. If you marry yourself you'd save £30 :)

Goodness me! I think it cost about £40 or something when I got married, just a quicky at the registry office, and they even let us have 15 minutes in the back garden to take photos after!

The reason for the high cost there is probably because they have to travel to you so they're charging for their time, bit like a plumber I guess ;)
