Getting kicked to desktop randomly (SI Client)

In the past few weeks I have been randomly getting kicked to my desktop while running the SI Client. It as fine up until 2 weeks ago, it's just suddenly started happening. This doesn't happen when I run the Classic Client.

Does anyone know what could be the problem and how I could solve it?

Using WindowsXP? If so, make sure you have SP1 installed, as there is a bug in the Dx code with AMD processors causing crashes to desktop without any error msg.

Turn off shadows.

Switch your desktop color to 16Bit.

Mine crashed for a while, did both these things and it stopped.

Thanks a lot Ragnarok, I did what you suggested and the problems seemed to have stopped
