Right well now i'm at uni and infested with STD's as per Gamah's request i'm getting bored with so much time on my hands i'm after a TV card or whatever for my laptop!. I've got my TV license etc sorted, now i just need an adapter/aerial to receive freeview through.

After looking around a bit it looks like its quite standard to provide an antenna/usb stick and so on.

Can anyone recommend a particular brand/model where i can pick one of these up from?.

Thanks :)

Hook up a satellite dish outside you’re room, buy an LMB, point the dish in the right direction. Run the wire to your TV card, you have pretty much free view after messing with it for a bit then get a program that decrypts *cough* sky channels.

The Freecom dv-usb stick works fine for me, 30 quid on ebay and comes with a little stick aerial, the picture is perfect though you do need usb 2.0.

You have to have a good line of sight with a local transmitter though and positioning the aerial to a few cm's to get a good picture.

Being digital is doesnt go all snowy ,just goes to like 1fps,
the electronic program guide is superb and the sound quality is excellent.
