getting disconnected

Can anyone help me please?
I love playing this game, but when i connect on to one of Barrys server i keep getting frozen of.My isp is AOL, does this go against me.
I have also noticed that when i die my ping is about 3000, when others are 20 ish.How do i get this down.
I have just bought the special edition.
Please help a stupid gamer.

arghhh!! AOL !!!!

If you live in the uk, i would strongly advise you to change isps to freeserve (i ping about 140 with them), virgin/ntl (shady/harpoon also ping very low with them) or maybe BT.

AOL are certainly not very good for online gaming ! uke:
