A wire wool soap pad ... will also give you some nice 'privacy glass' on the screen to protect you're browsing. Win/Win.

Specialised LCD screenwipes that have that alcohol type stuff on them?

Also razorblades and wire-wool though :).

Seriously, a naked (and sharp) razor blade. It won't damage the screen.

Alcohol based product will get this off, and you won't run the risk of ruining your monitor.

wax isnt soluable in ethanol (or methanol, which is more likely the solvent in screen wipes). They are designed for finger grease, not paraffin wax.

You may need to resort to acetone if the razor trick leaves anything behind - but make DAMN SURE your screen wont melt using it.

We use this at work and its fantastic, won't damage your screen and shifts almost anything. Failing that try something called IPA, it dissolves and leaves no trace but it quite potent.
