Gettin better pings

Just wondering how to get a lower ping- know it sounds a bit daft but - this is my sys.

p3-450
Voodoo3-3000
96M RAM
.....USR 56K Voice\Fax Modem (Ext.)

I think i have the newest drivers for it.
My question more lies on how the signal gets to/from my modem.

I have had the Gain on my line increased, but i heard of a change of Calling Card???!!!
now, i really don't know what this is. Can some1 help me explain this if they r in the know. oh btw I have tried PPBoost...etc...

Any ideas?

Use Cable and Wireless Internet Lite http://www.cwcom.net/ with that modem. Cos it's nice.

I regularly get sub-110 pings with that modem and C+W, with an all time record of 88ms. Nice eh?
