Geforce 4 ti4600 problem

Hi,
Yesterday i bought a Sparkle geforce 4 ti4600 card.I removed all my old drivers for my old card inserted my new geforce 4 and booted my sytem up.Then i installed my new drivers which came on disc with the card.On re-booting my system though as windows xp was loading in my pc just shuts down and the monitor switches itself off :(.The only way i can get back to windows is through safe mode and to use sytem restore to an earlier time and my video card still has no drivers installed as ive tried a few times and the same problem continues.
So i was wondering if the 23.11 drivers can be used with a geforce 4? Or have any of you any ideas what the problem could be :confused:

Do you have any idea of the version of the ones on the CD?

Hi Embattle thought it may be you to help me.Also other people who buy these new cards be warned they are very long indeed.I had to move my HD to fit it in :)

Ok ill try them Embattle m8. If they dont work i may be a while in replying due to me sytem restoring again :(

Yipeeee. The 27.30 drivers have done the trick Embattle m8.I have no system hanging up on reboot now thnx m8.Now do i do all that antialiasing and opengl stuff again like i did with my geforce 3 you told me to do last time ?

Done all that Embattle except the nvidia refresh rate fix as my cardis not supported nv25 only goes upto a geforce 3 ti500 :(

Where did you buy your card from? I have been looking across the web and all the sites that I have come accross still have 'coming soon'.

By the way 27.42 drivers work the best for me.Hi NaveT i got mine from http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ .They have had them for about 2 weeks but they only have the sparkle ti4600 at the moment m8.

My Gainward GeForce4 Ti-4600 128mb VIVO DVI Twin will be arriving beginning of April or so it says @ Watford :)

Can't be as bad as Novatech, bloody send them an email that my GF3 is bust, and they reply saying its easier if I deal with Elsa direct cos if I go through them it will take 28days.

I have emailed Elsa but there website is falling into disrepair now they're bankrupt and I have yet to recieve a reply :(

How ironic...I was told to contact the supplier of my GF3, Watford, and thus recieved an email back stating that the problem had been sent to their technical dept. Couple days later a tech emails me asking to resend the problem then nothing in fact I emailed them again and still nothing.

the gainward ti4600 is now available in volume, I'd opt for one of those if you're dropping on such a board, the extra is worth the few additional squids and the bundle r0xx0r!

I got the Creative TI4600 today. Easy too install, not bigger than the motherboard like the other Ti4600 cards. Works a dream with my xp2000.
