Lo there.

Got hold of a geforce 3 card ... which is better then my old gf2mx... and now the game crashes instantly when i login. I have tried reinstalling gfx drivers and directx. I did a dxdaig test and tested direct3d 7, 8 and 9.

With direct3d 7 test i didnt see the box rotating as i should do, but i saw with d3d 8 and 9.

After this i did reinstall directx and gfx drivers.. but i still get the same. Any soul out there with similar problems?

Any hints welcomed.

Cheers.

Try and set the AGP speed to 1X
Display properties -> Advanced

These are th emodels officially supported:
NVIDIA Geforce 3 Ti 200

On rightnow they suggested:
Please perform the following:

Do a search for 3dfx*.* files.

2. Delete all files that are found.

3. Delete file GLIDE2X.dll and/or glide2x.dll.

or

BTW you can try runnning dxdiag from the commandline with the addition of a -ghost parameter. this removes all traces of prior versions of DirectX from your machines.
