Hi I recently upgraded my pc to a AMD 2000 mhz processor and a new motherboard I had to format my hard drive. Everything was installed fine apart from the geforce 2 Mx 200. I have lost my original drivers but I downloaded the newest drivers (and even tried some older versions) and they work ok until I try and put my colour resolution above 16 colours... then it restarts and windows begins to laod and then the monitor goes black and nothing responds. cntrl alt delete restarts the comp into safe mode which allows me to put the colour back to 16 :( Its very annoying as it worked fine before, any suggestions greatly appreciated,

Thanks in Advance

Hmumum... what motherboard have you got? I'd suggest flashing the BIOS to the latest version.

Did you get the 29.42 drivers from here? If you didn't then do so! Quick! Now.

I downloaded them last night for my GF3, and it seems to have sorted my Choke Problem in CS... but, my FPS is capped to 60 now

Hmm.. i just went Settings in Display Properties, then clicked on Advanced and it give me this error:

Control Panel

An error occured while windows was working with the Control Panel in c:\winnt\system32\desk.cpl

did you uninstall the newer driver from add-remove programs first?

sounds like a registry entry or driver file from the original driver u downgraded from is still resident and causing havoc

oh, and a 60fps cap is more than likely vsync

I'm a little confused over whether para hellraiser and super_grey are the same person  Anyway, trying the older driver versions is the best way forward, I'm using v23.11 and 32 bit works on my geforce mx. If it still doesn't work in 32 bit mode its not that big a loss, the geforce 2 mx 200 cannot handle 32bit at acceptable framerates in games and 16bit really doesn't look much worse.
