Geershas Return

So far I've found them outside Caer Vitrin,
close to Lyoness boarder,
at the tower close to the North Beach in Cornwall
and NE from the Tower I found a large collection of Woorms, guarded by lower lvl Geershas.

This evening the Geershas attacked Cornwall Station and also strolled through Avalon Marsh, attacking people on horseback and coming as far as the bridge near Caer Witrin. They come in different sizes and also have worms with them. Con ranges from grey to red at level 50. They could also be found near the boogey fort and then further along the road. So far I think people just killed them, as there was little else to do. No experience gained I think, and also none lost if you die, because "you died fighting for your realm". I could also use my flurry-skill against them.

Ardwan was in Adribards Retreat and found a strange hostile assassin person in the same room with Lord Adribard. The assassin did not talk, but gave him a dirty look. Also the strangers that used to live near Adribards have vanished, but instead some Guy from some sort of Brotherhood (I forgot the name) was there and said he was searching for the strangers.

That's all I gathered today, thanks to Ardwan and the lot that came to Cornwall.

Dont know if this is related but was wandering from WD to the barrows and came across a guy who is a prophet . I cant remember what was said but will get a chat log tonight of it. He also dances , laughs and crys.

On tuesday evening, "Strangers" (the ones who previously camped near Adribard's Retreat) attacked Cornwall Station and parts of Avalon Marsh. They had red shields like the Geersha and some of them cried "Maharash!" (like the Geersha-Goblins) or "The stranger talks to himself". They ranged in con from green to orange to a level 50, though I only saw a short part of the attack. An interesting thing happened while I killed one green stranger and another who must have been rooted or mezzed stood there watching me and beckoned me. Also the orange ones are quite tough, I could only beat one because of the help of a Cornwall Station guard, my dirty trick and a lot of healing from Josepina the cleric. They count as realm enemies as well, meaning that if you die you loose no exp and you can use realm abilities and skills like the mercenaries "flurry" on them.

Deep in the back of my memory, I seem to recall another Templar mentioning that, when the strangers first appeared, one of them beckoned to him and attacked him when he approached.

On PARP's board I have created a forum specially for GOA created events and campaigns. I have gathered a lot of old threads in there which are very interesting reading, especially now.

Unfortunantly, I didn't have time to help the people in Cornwall last night, but I will go there as soon as I log on tonight.

They attack people riding too. I had my little crafter ride from Cornwall to Camelot, and upon the bridge between Caer Witrin and Adribards, two bands of the red clad strangers were roving. One of them took a swipe against my little riding tin man, and did 440 (-30) damage in one swing! Almost killed me, but my horse was quick and took me to safety!

same here.....but what was funny is that this red con hit me for 40 damage. Glad my horse runs fast

When I attacked these geershas the keep saying "Garahash! Ma gaharash" (btw yes the 2 words are different) - has anyone tried asking any NPCs about it? or anyone know what it means?


btw I saw about 20 of the enraged geersha warriors with about 30-40 worms in avalon marsh last night

old.hendrik u said u saw an assasin - can u plz tell us more details about him ie. what con and wether he is still there? (o and if he can be attacked).

It was not me who saw the assassin, but Ardwan Everlast from the Phoenix Legion. He could not attack the assassin, and could not talk to him either. All he got was a dirty look. No idea if the assassin is still there.

The hostile stranger Hendrick talks of is a she and her name is Feather. She will not talk, just scowls...

Master Honorus is now stood in the middle of the marshes, and he wants people to bring the strangers to him, if we see them apparently...

Theres no sign of the Geershas in Avalon as of last night anyway (Monday night)

Last night Guard Rionon gathered players from Corny Station to a group he created. After scouting the area behind the station and finding a large band of geersha and strangers on the hill we proceeded to Caer Witrin which was under threat.

All of the npc characters were then evacuated safely to Adribards/Outland Wharf when Guard Rionon gave us the instruction to wipe out this force.

After a couple of failed Geersha attacks on Caer witrin we moved to Cornwall to take on the main force including a very purple to 50's named Geersha Garnash and his cohorts. His followers were dispatched but the battle with him raged on and on with Garnash AoE mezzing for 50 seconds and hitting for 900 per hit.

Eventually we were forced to regroup at Caer Witrin, where, after a couple of failed attacks we were able to defeat the named Geersha.

A great fight was had by all
