So who else has forked out the 800pts for the new maps?

I think subway is going to be an awesome map to play (very canals esc) but greenhouse is rubbish (too much like raven down, another poo map). Bullet marsh is too light when the generator is taken out, should be way darker with more krill.

Yes Raven its the principle - they promised it would be free.

I am already pissed off with the way GH2 downloadable content has been priced/bundled, the marketplace pricing needs sorting and until then I vote with my wallet.

I was bored enough of GoW as it was and was hoping the new pack would put a bit of spice in.

Got the maps on Friday, and i love them.

Subway seems to be the most popular atm amongst others, but my fave atm is prolly Process or Bullet Marsh. They're well worth the £8 if you're into GoW as much as I am.

I couldn't disagree with you more though RandomBastard, for one Garden is huge compaired to Raven Down, and at least it's not a pure Shotgun-fest like Raven Down, there's plenty of other weapons littered about the map. Bullet Marsh has been pretty dark and gloomy everytime I've played it so far, with the generator being on or off. I agree with you on the Kryll part at least.

About the cost thing aswell, Epic wanted it to be free, but seems Microshite had other ideas and wouldn't allow Epic to put it up for free, not until the beginning of September at least.

Yeah it sucks by don't trade the fucking thing in unless you like coming out of GAME/Gamestation with a sore arse because they will give you £20 if that for it.

Tradeins = day light robbery.

And for the record i don't buy the DL content unless its amazing because they are a rip off but i don't throw my dummy out of the pram and trade in all my games out of anger lol

Pff, bullet marsh is not dark enough, it doesn't affect your playing, you can still stroll into dark, pick up weapons, stroll out. It should be !shit! generators out run from for cover, creating some lovely choke points and fast action.

I also disagree that greenhouse is bigger than raven down, its not, its just straighter.

I guess they are seeing the before and after results. Why pay when its free so soon?

When I've stopped playing a game altogether as I am bored shitless of it, but then get told hang on new maps are on the way so it *may* make me want to play it again...I wait. Then I find out I have to fork out a rip off price for maps I might play for all of 2 days = trade/sell.

As Mr Sugar says, you don't get rich by paying over the odds.

Oh and I don't get angry over internet posts from randoms either. Life is far too short

I have to agree with Xtro here. Complete treachery asking 800 points for these maps. I already completely despise the marketplace price system as it is. This just makes things worse.

I haven't played in 3 weeks (or there abouts), which is pretty damn good for me .

I'll be trading Gears in when something decent is released next month.
