Doubt this came as a suprise to anyone, they announced a sequel ages ago. And iirc, it's going to be a trilogy! =o

It is a triliogy, Epic announced that before the orginal was released. What they wouldn't say until now was if second installment was currently in development or when it was due for release. Now we know and can expect to see some actual game footage in the next few months.
