Anyone seen the 2005 'faithful' translations of Gatchaman which were variously translated to English as Battle Of The Planets, G-Force and Eagle Riders ?

A bit primitive by modern standards I suppose but when you compare it to any other cartoon series from 1972 or thereabouts it's staggering Those crazy Japs

Helps fill in the gaps while the Hokuto No Ken translations are slow to arrive.

I haven't seen them, but are these the versions that are ultra violent and the violence was stripped out and replaced by Zark-Zark 7 for the UK?

It's just that when there were explosions they didn't have to say afterwards "Nobody died... and anyone that did was a robot... or something."

They have fights and people die when the big mecha go on rampages.
